Have all the Beck bandwagon fans jumped on the White wagon?

Last year it was said, Beck is so much better then Chad Henne. No way could Henne could ever be as good as John Beck. [The Beck fans yelled and screamed] What happens? Henne plays much better in practice and the pre-season. So this year John Beck can not even be given away for a 7th round pick. Sparano & Parcells cut him after drafting of Pat White.

So what do the Beck faithfull do, jump ship to Baltimore? NO! They find a new hero to love over Chad Henne. All the people jump off the Beck bandwagon and onto the White wagon. [ohhh my GOD, the springs make a evil sound] White only has to put on a jersey and the Beck faithful have there new hero for 09 season.

The funny thing is the Dolphins brain trust keep saying Henne is our guy for 2010 and Dan Hanning & David Lee have been quoted as loving Chad Henne. In the game against Arizona we got to see Henne lead the Phins to there only touchdown drive going 7-12. But he should have gone 8-12 with a touchdown pass. [Ronnie Brown dropped a easy TD catch] The only TD drive for the Phins!

In the preseon he went 16-20 with a TD against the Saints and went 17-26 against Jaguars. He has showed us he has all the tools to be a very good QB. They say he got a great work ethic and it's second to none. Pennington has called this guy a sponge in the filmroom and the practice field. Yet it seems that a few Beck fans can not get over being wrong, so the White wagon is filling up super fast.

I can not wait for the pre-season and 09 season, because Henne is on a mission and he wants to compete against Pennington NOW!!!! Not sit back and wait for 2010 season. I hope all the Beck fans and new White fans enjoy eating a nice dish of roasted CROW!

I don't think it's that simple at all. I was a Beck supporter and I'm not on Pat White's bandwagon.

But I have to admit I find it ironic that all of those people who used Henne's mere drafting as evidence that John Beck was done as a Dolphin...now face having another QB drafted even higher than Henne.

Personally I say keep doing it til we've got one. Who cares if we keep using second round picks on QBs? It's the most important position in football. Keep doing it until you find your Drew Brees, Brett Favre, Boomer Esiason or even Randall Cunningham (second round QBs that succeeded).

And the great thing is the more you have at the position, the better. You can *always* sell them off. There are way too many examples of teams getting good price on backup QBs to think the tactic is a waste. Look at Hasselbeck, Schaub, even Feeley lol.

I will never understand the fans who align with one player over another. Why not just stay aligned with the Miami Dolphins, and let the best players come out of a pool of depth at every position?

one is not the other, White brings a different dimension as opposed to any standard drop back passer. He could compliment a drop back QB rather than take his job. I don't know if those fans jumped from one to the other, but whatever anyway.

Ether way, how much of a real Dolfan can one be if your pumping yourself up talking about your fellow fin fans eating crow.All because you don't like a new player on the team.

This ranks up there with one of the worst post I have ever read. I supported Beck, but didn't like the Pat White pick. I support Henne and White and hope they both do well for our sakes. I don't see White beating out Henne for a full time QB slot. As far as this post goes, Beck is gone (and there were trade inquiries about him, so you are wrong about the 7th round pic). He is a Raven, I wish him the best of luck. Can we please stop with these Beck posts that make no sense at all. Move the F on.....please.

I support whoever is on the field Sunday. I have some players that are my favorites, but I do not make it my personal mission on this site to go out of my way to let everyone know how bad I think a player is and why they will not succeed in Miami like some have done here.

I just want every player we get on our team to succeed so we can get back to winning Super Bowls, something I have never seen personally and something this franchise has not seen since the 70s! White, Henne, I don't care I like both and as long as one of them takes us to a Super Bowl victory, I Don't care which it is (hell maybe even Pennington this year)!

Exactly! Who ever gives us the best chance to win should play. The suggestion that because you liked one player who didn't work out, you are going to now bash another player on the team and hope he fails is just funny. That is like saying all the guys who like Henne hope Pennington fails.

I want the best QB under center and don't believe in an automatic heir apparent that doesn't involve a fierce competition. So far Henne's in the lead based on a very limited body of work and a year of learning from Pennington but I did hear Omar tonight raving about White's deep throws, accuracy and tight spirals he hasn't seen in some time. So if Henne doesn't rise to the occasion coupled with White's winner's mindset, I'd be pizzed if it was just handed to Chad rather than him winning it outright.

I said we could not EVEN get a 7th round pick for him! So we had to cut him for nothing!

That is because we waited too long and drafted White, which teams knew we would probably cut Beck. Before the draft, as reported, there were multiple teams interested in a trade.
