If Manning is cut today, as is expected then:

1. If he is the classy guy I think he is, he will not sign for a new team before a decent time passes; he wont want to look disrespectful to the Colts fans.

2. If he is the intelligent guy I think he is, he probably has a deal pretty much agreed already...I hope it's with us!

Therefore, have patience, fellow Fin Fans, and hope Ross "seals the deal".
 
why would he have an agreement already lined up? First he's going to have go thru a series of physicals before anyone will makes him an offer. The smart thing to do is to get all the offers on the table and then select the one that's best for him. I don't think he's going to jump in bed with the first team that makes him an offer.

How would him signing with someone else make him look disrespectful to Colts fans? He's not the one choosing to become a FA
 
well, I hope he makes up his mind BEFORE free agency starts....I'd hate to lose out on him AND on Flynn too.

so if he signs early with a new team after he's cut he's not classy??? that makes no sense...

anyways...scuttlebutt is that manning likely has a new team by middle of next week...teams are gonna want this to move fast before free agency opens

In my opinion...if you sign elsewhere too soon, it can be seen as someone who is uneffected by leaving the previous team. You need a grieveing period.
Just my opinion.

Less of a grieving period and more of a bidding war/media blitz.
 
I would think he would sign sooner rather than later so he can get started learning the playbook and his teammates.
