Looking at the players that we've lost this year thru cuts or whatnot, have we really lost anything? IMO, I can't say that we've lost anybody that I've really wanted to stay.

QB Gus Frerotte released/signed with St. Louis
QB Sage Rosenfels signed with Houston
WR Bryan Glimore signed with San Francisco
LT Damion McIntosh released
OL Stockar McDougle
LB Junior Seau released
CB Sam Madison released/signed with NY Giants
CB Reggie Howard released

There are other players, but I can't seem to think of them right now off the top of my head.

Really, have we lost anything?

Sam Madison is a loss like it or not

Other than that not really, Sage was a good backup but thats not a heartbreak

I would have liked to have kept Gus as a back-up and sentimentally would have liked to have kept Seau and Madison, but in reality the answer to your question is, No, we have not lost anything essential, imo.

The only thing we lost was the leadership of Junior Seau.

madison wasn't that good as he was before and i think coach saban and the rest of the coaching staff can make will allen a better player then madison...

I feel like we've become a better team by a factor of five. We got Culpep. Found a suitable replacement for Sam in Allen and added a slayer on the O-line.

The only change we made that I didn't feel wowee about was Sage. But, I get why it happened. Saban wanted to put his stamp on the QB position.

We WOW'ED 'em in '05. We'll destroy everone in our path in '06.

Sam Madison was a loss untill we signed Will Allen... depending on his performance, we probably broke out on top.....

Madison is a huge lose!

Madison is a huge lose! Please don't compare Allen to Madison. Madison is twice the player for around the same money. I live in Jersey and watch most Giant game's. Allen get's burned a lot.

QB is my major concern. What if Dante isn't ready or if something happens to him...

Lemon starts?

I don't think we will have much of a season if Tommy Maddox is our #2 and has to step up. He lost every game he played last year. He was horrible...

All reports indicate that Schulters is unlikely to return. This is considered a bad loss by many here at FH, but apparently the Dolphins have little interest in keeping him...there must be a reason.

1. Jr Seau is a huge leadership lost. Hope we can sign him back
2. madison Corner Cover
3. Ricky williams is part of the "pounding run game"
4. Gus Ferrotte for his aknowledge of the offense

They lost leadership, and an alright cornerback, an alright QB, but gained good lineman, offensive and defensive, a good cornerback, a good QB, etc. Saban is thinkin about what he sees coming in the next season or two. I would have liked to keep sage because he went to iowa state, but it's alright.

IMO, Sam Madison and Jr. Seau are past their prime. 3-4 years ago, I would call it a loss, but not now. I agree with Seau being a "good" locker room guy, but it's time to move on.

Sam is my boY cause he's a long time Dolphin..BUT....
Madison had been getting burned for like the last 3 years. THIS year TOWARDS THE END of the season he started playing better but it's pretty obvious that he's DEFINATELY lost a step or two. He's not the same. I hear this guy Allen we got is faster than Madison. I dont consider it a dropoff in this position.

Basically, to me, this thread is pretty acurate. WE DIDN"T LOSE ANYTHING!
