We all know about those stories where a team starts off hitting rock bottom, only to turn it around and get deep into the playoffs. I often find myself jealous of those other teams that do get to see such sucess. The one I'd most like to forget would be the 2001 New England Patriots. It seems every year there is a story like this. The story where some team comes out of the woodworks to suddenly burst onto the scene with dominance.

Looking back there have been so many occurences where teams have done the complete opposite of what they were expected. Last year, for instance, did any one think the Bears would win more than 4 games? Now all of a sudden, they have a division title and look like one of the elite teams in the league this year.

My point in this thread is, have you guys ever wondered what it would be like to be a fan of one of those teams? Can you imagine how amazing it would be if the Fins did some how turn this around. This isn't one of those raw raw threads, but rather a sobbing thread. I don't know, maybe I'm just sick of the mediocrity around here. What might be the thing that gets the team going the other way? That is way beyond me or any one else.

I am just completely baffled with the way this team has played this year. I am one of those fans who expected a division title and deep playoff run. But when people said 10-6 and wildcard round bow out, I thought that was resonable. But can any one honestly say they saw this comming?

Sorry for this rant on several differnt levels and subjects, I just needed to get a little bit of steam out. I envy the good team's fans right now.

A big win. Say by chance Dante Culpepper leads us to a game winning drive on Sunday. That could definately be the catalyst to get the season going in the right direction. I think the first thing that got the season going in thr wrong direction was when Dante choked at Pitsburgh. It left a sour taste in everyone's mouth because they couldn't believe what happened in in that situation. Dante could have silenced all the skeptics by leading us to a game winning drive but he didn't. I'm not saying it's all his fault but Pittsburgh gave us the game and we gave it back. If we win on Sunday things could start to turn around in our favor.

All we can do is hang tough and hope for the best.Yes it is getting frustrating though and a couple of things got broke in my house sunday Its starting to get to me also.Ive loved the Dolphins since my parents bought me a uniform when I was six years old which was Thirty two years ago,I remember crying when the Raiders beat us 28-26 in the playoffs and my Phins were no longer the best and havent been the best since then but we will have our day once again(just dont know when)and it will be sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

man i love the phins and hope they make the playoffs, but being practical, this team is pretty bad. Its not the whole team but the way our o-line is playing is making our offense terrible and our defense cant carry the team. we couldnt even put up big points verse the texans whos D sux. Right now im thinkin bout whos comin out of next years draft.

Very good point. I think we need Daunte to be the one to rally us. I just don't see it coming from Joey. I support Daunte to the fullest, but whatever it takes is what I want to happen.

yep, the all too familiar too little too late song... when that happens, those Ws mean nothing.

your terminaly ill if you think we are going to have some winning streak we are lucky to have a win at all unless saban can get some of those pepsi machine's on the comercial to block for daunte if not we will continue to be what we are and that's garbage

Yeah I agree!!! Being a fan of that team that came out of nowhere would be a great thing.

It may time to let Culpepper take a seat & give Joey a shot. Culpepper is not fully healed & while I think Harrington is horrble the bottom line remains he's 100%. Something needs to spark this team & that something may be sitting on our bench, lets give him a shot before it's too late. i realize Culpepper is our future but this guy is hurting us right now!

I really hope everyone did not think we where Super Bowl bound, Lets be real. How we have a new Quarterback in a new system, we would like to say it is like what cpep is used to but we all know that mularkey is a downgrade as far as a off. cord. We have all new secondary, I do have to say that that the D has held its own...... Our O-Line is in shambles, we all know it and there is nothing we can do about it this year. Our quarterback is not healthy and if we can not protect him then how is he going to be sucessfull. It is a work in progress, so before we all call for Sabans head and wanting to fire him, Lets all remember we are far better off with him than we where with wanny....... Rememeber the pats did not win 3 suberbowls overnight so all you true dolphins fans lets please be patience, good things come to those who wait!!!!!!!!!
