If I had an opportunity to run the Dolphins’ franchise in the coming years I would do or start the following at the end of the season.

1. Fire Tony Sparano and Jeff Ireland

2. Off the Field:

  1. Field Investment: Invest in a structure that covers the fans from the elements at Sun Life Stadium. Bring on the 1pm home games and a full house of fans.
  2. Lose the Hollywood Element
  3. New Uniforms: Go back to the 1972 Miami Dolphins Uniform
  4. Old Fight Song: Bring back the song we love and opposing fans hate
  5. Don Shula: I will have him on speed dial and he will be my “Yoda”
3. Interview Coaches: I will hire a Head Coach FIRST
Bill Cowher
Rob Chudzinski
Perry Fewell
Jeff Fisher
Russ Grimm
Charlie Weiss

4. The New Coach
*** Bill Cowher- he will bring discipline, mental toughness and experience. The fan base should be excited after the last three years.

5. Hire GM:

1. Omar Khan – Up and coming front office talent. He was allowed to interview for the GM spot in Seattle in the past. Great capoligist. Will work with Cowher.

Offensive Coordinator

Tom Clements

Defensive Coordinator

Keith Butler- (Let’s just say that Pittsburgh lets him out of his contract to work with Cowher.) He will play a pure 3-4

Off Season Outline
Free Agents
  • Pass Rusher- Mario Williams? If so, I pull up a Brinks Truck to his house.
  • Athletic TE
  • Play the market with Soliai or another NT for the 3-4.
Draft
  • Draft 1[SUP]st[/SUP] Round QB (Luck, Jones, RGIII, Barkley)
  • Draft Right Side of O-line. Deep Offensive Tackle draft and get an athletic Guard
  • Keep getting more weapons for the young QB
Discuss and give me your thoughts if you could support this...

Well at least you have a complete lack of fiscal responsibility, and assume you can
"Close your deals"

While we're at it, I'll become your next QB and lead the Dolphins to title after title.

huh?

Don't think I stuttered.....Much.

I'll paraphrase; You assume you are going to be able to make every deal work and that
you have the financial wherewithal to make everything happen.

I mean, if you are operating in fairy-land your scenerio is pretty good. But real world
things we want don't always work out as planned.

You can ask Ross about that.

Well of course when I put the time into this I figured that EVERYTHING would happen as is. Give me a break. Of course adjustments would have to be made. This is what I would target.

Talk about what you like and not like from the plan.

Wow, Cranky-pants.

He pretty clearly stated that this was his plan if he was running the show. He clearly is not. If he WERE, I'm fairly certain he wouldn't be wasting his time trying to explain himself to you.

Lighten up, Francis.

Number one is a given.

Number 2 well...

2a. is costly. If your a billionaire OK but odds are you'll ask for the city to help pay for it...good luck.

2b. good idea.

2c. awesome idea, I want to go back to throw backs too.

2d. like the song, hate the banjo but I'd live with the banjo.

2e. like the idea...dont know if Don wants to be bothered at his age now though.

Number 3 and beyond dont have time to comment right now but looks like a decent wish list.

I'm pretty much on board with everything you said, but from where I sit we take baby steps to get where we need to go, and if this offseason all that means is taking out the trash in our FO, hiring Cowher, and drafting Luck, I think we would be significantly improved, and the fans would start coming back. Rome wasn't built in a day, but bringing in those guys would sure get a lot done fast I bet.

I'm totally and completely light.

He doesn't have to explain himself to me at all.

He offered his plan, I critiqued it.

Why so butt hurt?

What's your estimate of the money it will take to cover the entire stadium?
What do you base it on?
How do you intend to pay for it?

I know right?

In Madden, my stadium is state of the art, and, I have
so much money I'm trying to find ways to spend it.

I put a winning product on the field, and, blow most teams out, so
it's no problem.

Problem is; It's not Madden, but Maddenism makes people think they can be GMs.

They can't.
