* RB Todd Gurley: His recovery has been unreal. I pegged him going in round two after blowing his knee out in the fall, but he has returned with vengeance. Great power and vision. Can break the long one. At just 20 years old, I have no issue with his knee. Younger people bounce back even faster from such injuries. I do think he is gone by 14.
* RB Melvin Gordon: One of my favorites. He is just a notch below Gurley for me. Outstanding insider runner. Plays fast with the pads on. Underrated and improving in the passing game. Tremendous zone blocking scheme fit. Needs to cut down on his fumbling.
* RB David Cobb: I think Cobb is one of the most underrated players in all the draft. He is tough and helped carry his team at times. Seems to always fight forward for yards.
* RB David Johnson: This kid gets no respect. Unreal hands and will be an asset right off the bat for a team in the passing game.
* RB Jeremy Langford: The former Spartan is going to get drafted on Day 3, but help a backfield in the NFL.
* WR Dorial Green Beckham: Could be the steal of the draft if he goes in rounds two or three. Yes, there are some character red flags, but when one reads his upbringing it is easy to see why the young man needs some guidance. He is a matchup nightmare and an answer in the Red Zone. He is more of a vertical threat than anyone is giving him credit for.
* WR Nelson Agholor: Great route runner. Fits Bill Lazor's offense.
* WR Devin Smith: Homerun threat. Best deep ball tracker in the draft.
* WR Tyler Lockett: Not enough bandwidth to wax poetic about this player. Love him. All he does is make football plays. He will end up one of the most exciting and productive receivers when all is said and done. Helps in the return game too.
* WR Justin Hardy: Rugged receiver that could be handful for opposing teams.
* TE Clive Walford: I think Walford will be a weapon in the hash area.
* OL Erick Flowers: Love the upside. Could slide into guard early.
* OL Jake Fisher: Zone blocking scheme fit. Played guard early in his career in Eugene. Could he offer some positional flexibility for a team?
* OL Jarvis Harrison: I was excited to see him invited for a visit to Davie. There are reports of attitudinal issues with him, but perhaps he can get it tightened up mentally, the Fins could find a positive fit at guard with him.
* OL Chaz Green: He is another player that could go mid-round, but slide into guard. He is a zone blocking scheme fit as well.
* OL Donovan Smith: Love the frame and upside. Could help in multiple areas.
* OL Hroniss Grasu: Athletic center.
* OL Shaq Mason: The distinguished Yellow Jacket simply produced through his collegiate career. Some like him at center. I would keep right at guard. Shameful he was not invited to the combine.
* DL Malcom Brown: Wide body that is good at everything. High character. Will have a long, long NFL career.
* DL Jarrett Grady: Bowling bowl-like. I love his energy. I think he would be handful for opponents as he develops next to Suh.
* DL Michael Bennett: Undersized, but I think he will pass rush effectively up the gut. Played hurt during the championship run…shows mental toughness.
* DL Marcus Hardison: Super sleeper. Will be a menace as an interior pass rusher.
* DL Gabe Wright: Inconsistent, but there is potential there.
* LB Eric Kendricks: Shocked there is not more love for him. Shocked. He can play MLB. Those saying his spot is WLB are shortchanging him. Great instincts. Great speed. Great in coverage. NFL DNA.
* LB Paul Dawson: Character issues and a terrible performance in Indy hurts him. However, he simply jumps out when watching TCU.
* LB Zach Vigil: I think he is a nice fit for Kevin Coyle. Very productive in college. Super sleeper.
* LB Hau'oll Kikaha: Might end up being the best Husky defender that is drafted this spring.
* LB Taiwan Jones: Love this kid. I have no doubt he will thump in the running game. The question is can hold up in the passing game. I am betting on him esp. as I can get him sometime on Saturday. Will aid special teams.
* CB Kevin Johnson: Best CB in the draft. Plays bigger than his weight. Smooth in all movements.
* CB Senquez Golson: Small kid. I get it, but he simply can cover and has receiver like ball skills. Loves the game of football as he turned down a chance to play pro baseball. Love multi sport talents.
* CB Steve Nelson: Middle round talent that will make a roster and end up contributing.
* FS Curtis Drummond: If you go off of 2013, Drummond would be getting more buzz.

Overrated
* QB Marcus Mariotta: Meek. Played in an offense that had wide open receivers. Never have seen him make accurate throws in a tight window. Never took snaps from center. Fumbles way too much.
* QB Brett Hundley: Wanted to see it from him…just never did.
* RB Raheem Abdullah: Small. His fumbles issues are bothersome to me. I wonder how he holds up at the next level. Will not be a help in the passing game.
* WR Amari Cooper: Not a terrible player, but him going in the top five is too rich. What is his special trait? Where does he get better? I think he is tapped out. So with no special physical characteristic and him already being technically sound, I simply do not see him getting that much better.
* WR DeVante Parker: I think he will play with DB's in his back pocket because he will not be able to separate.
* WR Ty Montgomery: Stunk in Mobile. Looked overmatched.
* TE Devin Funchess: Gangly body. Slow. Poorhands.
* OL Brandon Scherff: He is a guard. He is overrated if he goes in the top ten to play guard. Beyond pick ten? I am okay with that. However, I do worry he will not be durable.
* OL Andrus Peat: Bad body. Doughy.
* OL DJ Humpries: Lots of hype that does not correlate to the film.
* OL TJ Clemmings: Really bad in Mobile. Now there is a foot issue. This is a case where Cummings' potential could get a coach or executive fired.
* OL Cedric Ogbuehi: Medical red flag. Looks functionally weak.
* OL Tre Jackson: Bad body. Terrible conditioning.
* OL Ali Marpet: Went from a kid that was completely underrated to a guy that is overrated. Marpet going sometime on Saturday is fine and a great story. Marpet going in the second round is way too high for a player that played very limited competition.
* DL Randy Gregory: Weight issues and the failed drug test make him a risk that someone else can take on. He might make it, but I am not taking the chance with such a player.
* DL Leonard Williams: I am sorry, but I do not see dominate film on him like I saw with other DT's from the past few years. Plus, he seems aloof in how he carries himself.
* DL Eddie Goldman: Why am I supposed to think this guy is so good? He never popped out in big games or big spots. I would look for him and never did he show.
* DL Danielle Hunter: He will look great getting off of the bus…
* DL Mario Edwards: Rumors of an early round pick…really?
* LB Denzel Perryman: Too small. Will breakdown. Will be exposed in coverage.
* CB Marcus Peters: I do not like the attitude issues that have been documented.
* CB Jalen Collins: Multiple failed drug tests. A few starts? Not drafting him based on potential.
* SS Landon Collins: Limited box safety. No range.

* TE Nick O'Leary: Blue collar kid. Lacks measurables, but has the character to help a team.
* TE Nick Boyle: Big kid from Delaware. Has some nice tools. Could long snap as well.
* OL Ty Sambrallo: He needs to slide into guard. Soft body, but he will be a better player than he tested.

Thx Hayden - lots of players to check out. You might also be interested in Zach Zenner RB from South Dakota State (6' 220+ lbs) very good late round/undrafted prospect. ZZ is hard to bring down when he gets rolling. Big yardage - flying under the radar.

I agree with a lot of this list, but Abdullah being overrated is something I hear a lot and I think is crazy. The fumble issues are a legit concern, but outside that he's way to good to fail in the NFL IMO.

Overall he probably had the best measurements in the combine also, already shown he's a complete workhorse, I don't get this idea he will have trouble in the NFL.

what about Diggs & Jalen Strong?

I think Hundley is going to be pretty solid to good i think he could be best QB in this draft depending on Winston and his character & Mariota in the system he falls into.

you like Gurley? I hadn't noticed

Will not be there at 14 anyways. Love Gordon too.

I do not mind Diggs. Strong I like a lot, but cut him from legal pad because of the wrist.

Why do you say Ameer Abdullah won't help a team in the passing game? He's a very good receiver out of the backfield with good hands and he's good in open space. He's also a willing blocker in pass protection. Seems to be a lot like Darren Sproles, only bigger.

I thought he was lost in pass pro in Mobile.

Good post.

I don't agree with some of the assessments, but it's always great to hear someone else's perspective on guys.

Dude, where do you find the time?

Ozzy rules!!

Dude, where do you find the time?

Ozzy rules!!

I am a nerd in that I take shorthand notes all year. Have a lot of fun. Live the draft shows...plus today my wife left with the kid for the day. Lol

I see Reggie Wayne and Greg Jennings when I look at Amari Cooper. You don't need an athletic specimen but he has top end speed. Route running, Hands, Speed, and Agility are all good traits right? He also reminds me of Roddy White or Maclin with much better royute running. He's going to be somewhere around these players.

I think Hundley is going to be pretty solid to good i think he could be best QB in this draft depending on Winston and his character & Mariota in the system he falls into.

Hundley is the biggest wild card in the draft, IMO. Very good or just another Jason Campbell type. The kid from Colorado State is a more dependable pick but not nearly the upside.

I have a feeling Hundley will be good but I admittedly am defaulting high on UCLA guys these days. Playmakers everywhere.

As someone else posted, even if I don't agree with everything I appreciate a rundown of this type and all the effort it takes, similar to Hayden's weekly Sunday night summary during the season.

I also think David Cobb is one of if not the most underrated player in the whole draft. No talk about him. No probably day and no combine. Always falls forward and runs extremely hard. Does not go down with arm tackles. He's pretty much the exact opposite of Lamar Miller. I even think he moves a little better than Miller, not top speed, but his game is much more in your face. Hes a lot of fun to watch! I'm hoping we grab him in the 4th.

Edit: forgot to add how much I like his attitude and toughness. He could be a leader on the offense we so desperately need.
