What's the point in keeping Merritt and then activating Ford?

Hard to ask why when we have Grier and Flo. It just seems like that’s the unfortunate obvious answer for the parade of poor decisions.

That's ridiculous, Ford has shown he's not able to be effective at the NFL level on a consistent basis. The definition of stupid is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. Merritt has shown the ability to be a weapon in pre-season and through camp why not give him a chance !

Right? Ford was pretty bad late last year. I guess he could have a better understanding of the offense.
Merritt definitely looked like a keeper to me.
Ford has a bit more experience I guess. We haven’t seen Merritt play against 53 man roster guys. I got nothing else.

I'm still confused why there are double digit DB's on the roster.
confusion and Miami seem to be synonymous...just think what you would do and they do the opposite
When training camp stated, the WR position was said to be a strength for this team. Yet )raker and Waddle are the only reliable WR’s on the team at this time. I thought Wilson would be an upgrade over what they had at the end of last year, but he has shown nothing this season.
Williams hasn’t even been on the active roster but once this season and that means he is still injured or the coaches don’t feel he was one of the top 6 WR’s on the roster.
Hollins is on the team more for his special team play than as a WR. Ford is proof that it’s not just cats that have 9 lives.
It appears that right now the Dolphins are almost back to where they were at the WR last year. One of the worst WR units in the entire league. Hopefully Parker or Waddle don’t get injured.

Why would you activate Ford of all people??? You know what he has…..Basically nothing. Meanwhile Merritt is sitting on your practice squad?? Why? This move makes no sense…..And I’ll add that this is why I’m losing faith in Flores very quickly.
What’s the point with most of the stuff this team does?

We already know what we have in Ford.... His ceiling is practice squad, WR6-7 at best. Why not see what we have in Merritt?
