Thats what the great coach Pornstache said after drafting Eddie Moore 2 years ago in the SECOND ROUND!!!! :fire:

Since when do you use a SECOND ROUND pick for special teams? You need impact players in that round....

Which brings me to my point..

Today when you are watching the draft, you may see us do some things you don't necessarily like or agree with. I know I will. Take solace in the fact that Nick has a plan in place and will stick to it. Unlike the previous administration who made draft day blunder after draft day blunder. I mean the fact that we only have drafted 3 starters in the last 5 drafts is very unacceptable. I expect that to change today with a different man calling the shots.

Have fun, enjoy the draft and stand behind our coach.

Yeah, as time goes by it becomes more and more clear just how incompetent Wannstedt was as a GM. Just plain awful. Nice to have a guy who knows what he's doing.

Today is Nick's Day to shine or to fail. To this point he has done very well but today is his first real test. Will the fans be happy after the draft? We all have our favorite players and may disagree somewhat with the players we draft.

I am just curious after the draft if we can call it a success?

Even if i'm disappointed with any of the picks i have faith in Saban. He knows what he's doing. I'll be very disappointed if we pick Smith, but i trust Saban knows what he's doing.

I think they were still upset they didn't pick Anquan Boldin to realize that.

Amen to that, my brother! Saban knows what he is doing! A year ago, wouldn't you have done anything to get rid of Wannstedt? I sure would have........We are much better off today than a year ago. Be it Smith, Edwards, Brown, Rolle, or anyone else, we are headed to brighter days.

A lot of second round picks help on special teams. What league are you watching?

Sorry kid but you don't waste a 2nd round pick for special teams help. Yeah second round picks do play special teams, thats obvious. But you dont draft a player that high for the sole purpose of special teams. The team was already stacked at LB. Has he seen the field at all? Uhh no. Waste of a pick.

wrong, a lot of developmental players are taken in the 2nd rounds. Safties that turn to linebackers, linebackers that turn into safties. Generally those players make an impact on special teams their rookie year as they are learning their position.

Old man.
