Regardles of who the Dolphins name their next Head Coach....There must be an emphasis placed on Toughness above all else. There has not been a Dolphin team that displayed the toughness neccessary to win since Shula took a David Woodley led team to the superbowl in 82. Instead...the toughness was displayed by the Bills of the 90's who kicked our ***** 8 ways from Sunday for a decade!

The Dolphins have been wimps since then and I'm sick and tired of it! I don't care if we have to hire a geriatric Mike Ditka we need to instill some freakin' toughness back into this franchise! If it takes hiring Mike Singletary then so be it! It's time for the Dolphins to return to the "5 yards and a cloud of dust" team that they made there bones on. The freakin' Ravens are basically the Dolphins of the 70's....They play great defense and do just enough on offense to get by. That's what the Dolphins need to get back to...I don't know who the right coach is but he damn well better be a tough sonofabeeeeotch!

I really don't know who that person is so as far as I'm concerned I say we give The old man another shot...Don Shula Baby!

The Dolphins have been playing like ******* for years....it's time for some man-agement from someone...I don't care who it is. Freakin' Buddy Ryan if he's still alive by God.

Amen, Brother! Our defensive front aside, I couldn't agree with you more! And I think this goes double for the O-line.

I think this is a perfect time to CHANGE OUR UNIFORMS!!!!. We need a whole NEW identity and a change in our looks could be a good thing. We have a sissy looking uniform and logo and it's high time we get a uniform and logo that looks more like a FOOTBALL team should look.

:shakeno:

Much like the winless Bucs in 76 who had a blood thirsty pirate with a knife on their helmet. Yes, logos are such an effective tool in winning football games.

PS: Our look and logo are classic.

Yeah classic ....as in classicly wimpy.

No one cares what your uniform looks like -- well except for the original 'orange' Tampa unis ..... but regardless ....

How 'tough' is the chicago 'C' ... not very ... or a Raven ... oh, yeah, very intimidating ....

Just smack people on the field .... that's all it takes ..... and by the way --- we can't change our defensive demeanor on the field until ZT leaves .... he sets the tone ---

Folks will jump all over this like I am 'hatin' on ZT, and I am not --- I just understand and appreciate the way he plays the game ... which is very hard, with a lot of heart, throws around his body ... but he does not wrap people up and smack them around -- read PUNISH them ... and he never has ..... and THAT's why he doesn't get the recognition that Urlacher and Lewis get!

Yes, he does get some nice hits on folks ... but its NOT the same thing !

I want what CsonkaClone wants !! But not another run with the 'Don'

THis team when it has a lead is dynamite. They have the talent on d to hold leads. But when the offense screws up or we need a huge stop (Jets Game) they breakdown.

Now u can blame the ineffective offense for our lack of defensive tougness and intensity late in games but they need to do their job even if the offense is blowing.

I think we need a qb on offense. Booker, Chambers and Mcike are very good recivers. They are better than 70% of the teams WR, WR, TE combos. Plus we have a great RB in ronnie brown. Ricky williams is a ? mark but, it worked well last year when he was able to get into a rythem with ronnie. And remember in ricky's only two games where ronnie wasnt there he combined for over 280 yards and 2 TDs.

The defense, needs safties and a real solid CB. All of the defensive backfield are marginal starters to backups.

If we can also get somebody on the other side of Zach we will be set. Idk why pope didnt get more playin time later in the year. Spragan doesnt cut it as a starter.

It seems that Miami has guys that have alot of talent and no motivation (chambers) and alot of guys with small talent but alot of motivation (welker, D.Bo, Bell,)

I agree. What team has an un-defeated season, the most prolific passer in the NFL etc. etc.? I personally think our unis are distinct and classy. You can always tell who we are, no matter where we're playing, unlike other teams that look the same on the field. Also, it's who wears the unis that make the team. So, leave them alone! Let's stay unique and colorful and just worry about getting back on track.:dolphins: :dolphins: :dolphins: :dolphins: Go aqua & orange!!!!!!!!!!!!:D :D :D

Uh this team needs talent. Forget toughness for now, it needs some talent which it is SEVERELY lacking in...

Our colors look wimpy. That is what I hear from every other teams fans. The Bears wear dark colors and I think their uniforms look intimidating. They have a mystique about their uniform, the old monsters of the midway and Soldier Field mystique. What mystique does our team have? Our team has and is known around the league as a soft finesse type of team. We have been known as being like that since the days of Czonka. I am tired of hearing our team as being finesse pansies who get bullied when playing tough physical teams.
