Heads Up From a Steelers Fan

where is all this talk about pitt's receiving core being one of the best? thats malarkey! Hines Ward is a top-3 WR in this league, but thats it. Plax is a career underachiever, who has never been as good as he's hyped up to be. Hines Ward on the other hand, is a bad-a$$ receiver who i've always had on my fantasy team and would love to have on the phins.

Big Ben will most likely struggle against a good D that we have. Duce Stale-y will be a non-factor. it will come down to turnovers - i predict whoever has the most will lose the game.

Since nobody outside Steelcountry knows anything about the Steelers (other than Ben starting) I thought I'd give you Fish fans something to look for when watching our team this weekend.

  1. Duce, Duce and more Duce. We plan on running quite a bit, so be prepared for #22 to be colliding with Thomas quite a bit (hopefully Thomas will have dirty numbers by the end of the day - on his back ;) )
  2. Haggans (our replacement for Gildon) was a monster against Chokeland. Expect more of the same Sunday.
  3. Burress going long. I would expect Plaxico to be more involved with Ben at the helm. Maddox favored Ward on the 5-8 yard routes. I think Plax will get more deep corner routes under a Ben-led offense.
  4. Rolling pockets with Faneca leading Ben. This will be an adjustment for our offense under Ben, but we need to use his mobility.
  5. Polamalu being conservative on zone coverage. He got beat with a double move against Chokeland. He will overcompensate against your deep threats. I would expect your WRs to have a good day underneath if he becomes apprehensive. Otherwise, he will get beat long if he crowds the line of scrimmage.
  6. Our DL is the most underrated unit in the league. You will not be able to run. AT ALL.
  7. Special Teams will give us good field position. Randle El and Colclough will have a good day IMO.
That pretty much covers the major points. I look forward to being 2-1 after Sunday. Say hi to Hooty for me.:)

LICK NUTZ!!!!!!

We will not run youre correct, Burress going deep doubtfull. Dont be blind sided by our offense and assume that Ben Worthlessburger will tear up our defesne. Our D has only given up one touchdown in 2 games. Im thinking we might see more of Brian St. Pieere after we knock the snot out of Worthlessburger.

Miami 21
Pitt. 6

The Offense has only scored 2 touchdowns in 2 games and you predict them to score 3 in 1 game :shakeno: highly doubtful dude but here is to hoping

Glad you started this thread, Burt. Not enough smack flying for this game. Too much weathervane talk. I followed your comments on the Faiders and Ratbird sites. Good stuff.

...and the Steelers aren't pissed losing to the cuddly Ratbirds?
EXACTLY. Too many people are not paying attention to this aspect. We showed our *** to the Ravens. I think we'll be out for blood this weekend (or Monday or Tuesday, who the hell cares)

Okay, I was a little off. Good luck against the Clowns and RatBirds later in the year. Fix that OL and get a RB and your team won't be half bad. Trust me, we were in the exact same spot last year. Our OL is only a little better and it makes a difference.
