With our sub-par rushing attack we need to have our shut-down corners. Howard still looks a little off and not quite himself from 2 years ago. Jones is key to any hopes against Seattle. Not sure his groin injury will allow a return this weekend, but with 2 solid weeks of rest there is hope he is able to suit up.

The extra few days will help with both players and also, Parker's hammy. I don't know why but I have a feeling we're going to play Seattle pretty close. Maybe the long flight and the fact that they are overlooking us will help us stay in the game. The offense has some nice momentum going and the D showed up big on Thursday. I don't think they will route us. I think we just might have an upset in the making!

I would hope guys like Nik Needham and Noah will step up.

How did our secondary compete at the end of last year? I recall being competitive in the secondary and that is why having Howard and Jones back could only make us that much stronger? What happened? Change in DC?

Locket is too quick/twitchy for Howard, and Metcalf would straight up destroy him. Really hope Byron plays as he's our only legit DB atm.

Seattle is not overlooking us, they were a stills drop away from losing to us last time they played.

lurking, you must mean the famous Kenny Stills drop. I hated him for that for a long time. After us they have the Vikings at home so they may just mail this one in, one can hope. What's more likely is a precision passing attack by Russell Wilson augmented by Chris Carson slicing through our defense and a smothering D that doesn't allow up to run the ball and rushes Fitz mercilessly. I'd rather they mail it in

Metcalf and Locket are going to create all kinds of issues even if Howard and Jones play. Without them........oh boy.

They better play zone all night and take the paper cuts instead of man and get killed quickly.

It's going to be a bloodbath.

R.Wilson adds another deminsion with his ability to scrumble and buy time.

Honestly playing Newton and Allen early at least put some tape out on lane discipline.

Although with this particuliar QB it probably doesn't matter.

We have always played Seattle tough. I don't see a blood-bath. They will score and R. Wilson will have his moments. We have a few things working in our favor and we could surprise. This would be the week to establish our ground game controlling the clock and limiting Wilson.

The ground and pound is fine, as long as we finish it of with 7. If we have 6 minute drives that end up in FGs, it won't help.

The thing about Russ is that no matter if he's in the pocket or out of the pocket, he's always looking down field and has a great feel for where his receivers are going to be when things go awry.

He's the best QB in the NFL right now. Doesn't know what you throw at him defensively, he has an answer for just about everything.
