says it's going to take our 2nd to get Daunte if we don't get Brees.

Do you really want to give up our 2nd for him?

Please stop listening to these "experts". He said we would either have Culpepper or Brees as our QB by last night. If one kept track how often these guys are wrong, nobody would even listen to them anymore.

Yes he's the 3rd best QB in the league when he's healthy, and he will be healthy again, whether is game 1 or game 16 this season, get a veteran QB to hold everything down while he recovers then let him take the reigns

Hypothetically speaking, would you give them a conditional 2nd rounder? the condition being he throws for 3000 yards and 15 TD's?

I think you would. Who can we draft in the 2nd round that would have that sort of impact on the team?

sign brees or else give up a conditional pick next year for culpepper but I want a medical exam on him either way.

culpepper would be awesome.....IF his knee can heal properly...

Of course we should. Daunte is a a proven Quarterback. So he had one bad season last year before he got hurt. But do you blame him. He lost Randy Moss and Scott linehan. All the pressure was on him to carry the team. The run game was neglected and there was no balance whatsoever. Brad did well because he was not asked to carry the team. They became a more balanced offense. Thats why he did well. With Ronnie brown in the backfield and with an improved o-line, we know we will be able to run the ball. So this will put no pressure on him.

Daunte is a superstar quarterback and has always been. Drew Brees is a game manager. We dont need a game manager, we need a superstar Quaterback, and Daunte is the man.

I think Nick knows that he is worth a second, but he also knows he can get him for a third. He will wait as long as possible without giving up a second. We will see who cracks first, Minnesota or us.

I think we will get Daunte for sure. At this point I dont care how long it takes because iknow he is coming here.

<sarcasm> No way....would definately be able to get a franchise QB with the 16th pick in the 2nd round......no way I give up that pick for a guy who went over 5,000 yards of total offense in 2004. Chances are better that we get a QB with that much talent in the draft than Daunte has a recovery similar to Willis McGahee. Draft the unknown, let the proven all-pro go elsewhere </sarcasm>

:D

If brees went elsewhere yes I would

even if he didn't I'd be tempted to negotiate for a 3rd at most

Daunte is worth it
