I have never thought Miami had that much of an advantage this time of year with the heat and humidity. I know it's a big time advantage earlier in the season. Mark Schlereth just said that he, being on a cold weather team, always hated coming to Miami this time of year. He said they always practiced in cold weather and at this time of year he was always out of shape. He said it was still hot and humid enough to take a big toll. Maybe we still have a heat advantage. What do you think?

Doubt it. Mid 80s and mid 80% humidity is a little sticky but there's ISO t storms called for, that may be the bigger advantage. Pats run d is atrocious.

I can't figure why he said he was always out of shape this time of year. I mean injuries, yes everybody is injured, out of shape no. How hard is it to get in good shape in cold weather as compared to hot? Do you lose conditioning when you practice in cold weather?

80 degrees and humid is a CLEAR advantage this time of year. Dude it has been in the 20's here in NE for the past month or so. Infact it was 17 degrees this mornign with the wind chill of 7 degrees. BIG difference when it comes to running and breathing.

The pats are probably cranking the heat in their indoor facility all week. Besides, with the practice limitations in the last CBA, I don't think it is the advantage it once was.

It is easier to warm up than cool down. Especially outside you can add layers and special clothing to keep yourself warm not so easy to cool down with football gear on you

It can be a factor if Miami make it a factor, a fast past effective offense and a lots of No huddle.

Wear their defense out, make them stay on the field, taking Brady off the field.

It is a comfortable condition to play in for teams from the North.

this time of year its not an advantage its a vacation

Agreed, but Miami has very good talent on defense, and like Junc said in another post, Miami has darn good talent on the offensive side (For a Jets fan to say that, you know it has to be true), so Miami has to just dominate, and don't take the foot off the gas until there is less then a minute to play.

Not to the body. Their VO2 max will be less than the Fins who are accustomed to it. Won't make a big difference, but in the 4th qtr with out DL rotation and physical familiarity to the weather supposedly we will have an advantage.

It should be a big advantage but with the new CBA rules on limiting practice time and the fact that we don't seem to try to take advantage by running more hurry up it probably won't be that big of an advantage.
