Please let this happen. Posey is the defensive player we need at the 3...and if we did this, we would still have our MLE.

The heat will trade rasual butler and mike doleac to the celtics for antoine walker and in a seperate trade they will trade jones to the grizz for Posey, and J-Will and we might also sign finley if dallas realeases him. you are looking at a potential heat line up in 2005

C.Shaq
PF.Haslem
SF.Walker
SG.Wade
PG.Williams

Key bench players: Finley,Posey,mourning

Why are they so worried about getting schmucks like Walker? If Wade had been healthy they would have made the finals this year. Pick up some defense and someone to backup Wade and go to the Finals. Walker is a high risk move, he's a detriment sometimes with his terrible shots and ballhog mentality. I guess Shaq could probaly reign him in but you never know. I dont think he makes anyone's team better, hes a chucker and a ballhog, guys like that arent worth it.

That's what alot of people used to say about Rasheed Wallace (more or less) but he mostly turned his attitude around when he went to Detroit and stated winning. I think it was due to the strong winning culture there that Larry Brown and Joe Dumars helped to instill. A.Walker would be walking into a similar winning/positive environment here. I'm hopeful that he would become more team oriented. :)

Thats what everyone said when he went to Dallas...then he toed the line for a season, then begged to get back to the east so that he could make the allstar team since the West is logjammed with good forwards. He went from a good situation in Dallas to terrible ones in the East--by his request. To me he's just one of those players that puts up numbers by just shooting all day without regard to the team, Ive never heard anyone even talk about his defense either. To me this is just a desperate move because Miami hasnt gotten anyone else. They don't need Walker, let him go to some bottom feeders like Atlanta or Charlotte or New Orleans, they will let him take 30 shots a night, thats all he wants.
JWill....and Walker together......well if they start using 2 basketballs at the sametime I can see that working out...

Hard to argue against history. You've got a legit point. The Heat is playing some serious Russian roulette. I'm only hoping that Miami's team culture is more focused and disciplined and that he'll adapt well...but according to the Miami Herald, a deal seems close to being done regardless...and if the Heat aquire J. Williams and Posey for Eddie, there's gonna be two players with bad reps on the team (Walker and Williams). Gotta put all your trust in Riles, Stan, Shaq and D-Wade to straighten them out then...but if they do, OMG. what a talented team. hehe. Still this is russian roulette, NBA style. hehe.
