What is/are the best and top 5 rivalries in all the land???

1. Michigan/Ohio State (enough said)
2. Miami/FSU (wide right!!!)
3. Auburn/Alabama (iron bowl)
4. Army/Navy (commanders in chief trophy on the line)
5. Clemson/South Carolina (remember that nasty fight???)

I think you have to fit Louisville/West Virginia in there somewhere. Especially after this year's game. Its going to be a barn burner!!!

OSO/UM
ND/USC
Auburn/Alabama

Probably my top 3 though those are the first that came to my mind.

I still think the Red River Rivalry is one of the best college football games in any year, regardless of how the teams are doing at that given time. Always a brawl. USC/ND is always great, as is UM/FSU -- always seems to be a nail-biter.

OSU v.s. Mich
Auburn v.s. Alabama
USC v.s. ND
Florida v.s. Tenn
FSU v.s. Mia
Oklahoma v.s. Texas

Those are the ones I think about right away

I think LSU vs. Bama will have new found hatred starting this year. :D

the new one is gonna be ohio state and florida haha my school beat them in both sports that just stings a little

I know im gonna get blasted for this, but anytime the top rival games disscusion comes up and Miami/FSU is infront of OU/Texas, it dosent fit.

OU/Texas was a huge game back when Miami and FSU were bottom feeders, and debating whether or not to even play football.

****Note: All stats mentioned are from 2000****

1. OU/Texas - Since 2000 the winner of this game has played in 4 national championships, also the winner has won the conference championship in 4 of the 6 years (not counting last year when OU lost to Texas but won the Big XII) Not to mention both have won a national championship this decade. Also, 5 players that finished in the top 3 voting for the Heisman have played this game, Jason White won a Heisman and also played one more year.

2. tOSU/Michigan

3. Alabama/Auburn

4. Army/Navy

5a. Miami/FSU
5b. USC/ND

2. tOSU/Michigan

3. Alabama/Auburn

4. Army/Navy

5a. Miami/FSU
5b. USC/ND

I definitely think OU/Texas is top 5 but not ahead of Michigan/OSU.

I don't think Army/Navy is that big either other than to the actual servicemen.

My top 5 would probably be......

1. Michigan/OSU
2. Alabama/Auburn
3. OU/Texas
4. Miami/FSU
5. USC/ND

I also think a really big one that doesn't get enough attention is Utah/BYU.

UF vs the rest of the SEC
UF vs Ohio Sta- I can't even finish is it really a rivalry when we have a habit of beating the **** out of them?

I guess I'm not familiar enough with Miami/FSU games, because I look at SC/Clemson as a bigger rivalry.

As for one that doesn't get enough attention, what about Bowling Green/Toledo?

How does this even get mentioned as a rivalry?

How many games have they played against each other in thier histories?

I was right there with you on all until you went to USC/ND. Seriously? When was the last time ND won that game? You have to have both sides winning for it to be a rivalry (if you ask me). Yeah it gets a lot of national publicity... I just don't buy it.

I think UF/UT is better than that. S.Carolina and Clemson is huge too!

Yeah I had a hard time thinking of #5. I suppose that is similar to Florida/Georgia :chuckle:

I would laugh too, but seriously I'd put them about the same. Two talented teams that have QUITE a HISTORY, but the game has not been competitive for a while. Even though UGA and UF has been a lot more competitive than USC/ND for the last 5+ years. USC/ND is becoming a good game again, but until ND wins one or two... It is not much of a rivalry.
