Heisman

Man I don't know, but it is definitely between those 2.

I think Tebow is the best college football player in the country . . . but Bradford's passing stats are some of the best EVER.

Bradford had 48 TD's to 6 INT's . . . that is sick . . . in what was the toughest conference in college football . . . definitely the toughest division.

Man I just don't know, I think they give it to Tebow once again . . . and you can't be mad about that. Kid is a baller.

personally i hope Tebow doesn't win it...being a Heisman Trophy winning QB in college is like a damn curse in the pros, and he's won it once already...should he decide to go pro after college, then i'd like to see him do good in the pros, not crappy...

Archie Griffin is the only player to win it twice right? I know Detmer tried to win another one, so did Leinart, but they both came up short their 2nd time around.

Tebow won't win it.

I think people are going to feel sorry for Colt McCoy and give it to him.

I think Tebow SHOULD win it (although he won't) and here's why:

#1 - Tebow didn't throw it as much. The Big-12 is run deficient and the three Big-12 QBs thew it about 35-50 times per game, whereas Tebow between 13-25 each game. When you look at the YARDS PER ATTEMPT, all four QBs in the hunt for the Heisman are pretty comparable. There was just never a need to have Tebow win the game with his arm, although he is capable.

#2 - Big-12 is defense deficient--this works to the QBs advantage. Too bad you can't vote for Heisman after the Bowl games. I think the Big-12 is really going to be exposed. Look at the OU, 60+ points in the past 5 games. In that time the average score against them was 27.8. That's horrible, especially for the 3rd Best D in the conference.

#3 - Tebow, after Ole Miss made a promise he kept. No team has been hotter than Florida in the past 8 weeks. Florida beat #1 today and Tim Tebow is now regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of college football. The same can't be said for the other guys that are just great passers.

In my opinion though, close to Tebow is Colt McCoy, he is the 2nd most complete player. Great passer, great runner... BUT.. he couldn't even lead his team to the conference title (don't give me B.S. about how Texas got screwed--they didn't. The Big-12 has a system, everyone knew the rules, and Texas just couldn't hack it).

Does it mean the system works? Florida beat one upper-echelon team that I think is a fraud in Alabama.

It should be between McCoy and Bradford. I'd give it to McCoy but believe it'll go to Bradford. Whoever writers see last seem to get a boost. McCoy will set the highest single season completion % in NCAA history. I believe his team should be in the title game and not Florida. He beat more quality opponents.

How I think it should go :
1. McCoy
2. Bradford
3. Harrell
4. Tebow

Not a single Big-12 defense is ranked in the top 20. NONE. Texas is #21, OU is like 52nd.... PATHETIC!

The Gators played 6 teams ranked in the top 20 (defense). The average ranking of the Gators opponent's defenses was 16 (after the Ole Miss game).

The Big-12 QBs have to be suspect. What do you think Tebow would have done against those weak defenses? He had an amazing year against the tougher SEC defenses, he would surpass all three Big-12 QBs if he could play in that conference.

The system doesn't work. The Big-12 teams are frauds. It should be Florida and USC.

Penn State, Florida, USC, 'Bama. These are all more COMPLETE teams than any of the Big-12 teams. The Big-12 teams CANNOT score like they have been against a decent defense. The numbers the Big-12 guys are almost fradulent. I haven't run the numbers but it looks like the Big-12 defenses would average in the bottom 25% of College football.... basically, for the combined year, the Big-12 QBs played a team ranked like 80th in offense, that's what this is like.

So it was all bad defenses and had nothing to do with the Qb's? I don't think Florida played as tough of a schedule as Oklahoma or Texas. We can argue that the Big 12 defenses suck and I don't think it matters. Stafford's probably the top NFL prospect at Qb. I'll give that up but who in the SEC aside from Florida had a Qb or an offense to be afraid of? Auburn, Tennessee, LSU, Georgia all fell way below expectations. The SEC was an average conference this season. The Big 12 was a far superior conference.

Tebow is like Jesus or Favre to experts. He did not have the complete season that Bradford or McCoy had, IMO. I think it'll end up being Bradford winning the heisman.

I think USC is the best team in the country. They don't have the body of work of other teams. The one thing I wonder is Oregon St. on the road a worse loss than Ole Miss at home? The Pac 10 was atrocious so it doesn't matter.

A plus one format this year would leave people complaining because Alabama, Penn St, Utah, Boise St, Texas Tech would all have a good arguement to get in. Though it'd be Florida, USC, Oklahoma, Texas. Personally those probably are the 4 best teams. Though I think the others have a case. Even if so Oklahoma gets a pass for getting stomped in bowl games year after year for some reason. All that criticism gets passed to Ohio St.

Tebow wins the Maxwell as outstanding player. McCoy wins the Walter Camp as player of the year. Bradford wins the Davey O'Brien as Qb of the year. The CFB award system to me seems more messed up than the BCS. Today is the first time since Manning/Woodson where I don't think their is a clear-cut favorite.

McCoy or Bradford will win it.
Tebow deserves it.
Florida will beat Ok. by three touchdowns.Bama would beat them by two Td's.
Defense still wins championships....Big12 has NONE.

Bradford and I'll give you the only reason that matters without beating you to death with statistics, etc.

Look at the odds in Vegas. Vegas always knows what we wish we knew. A $50 bet on Sam Bradford nets you $15. A $50 bet on Tim Tebow lands you $150. And a $50 bet on Colt McCoy wins you $275. That's how it goes down because Vegas isn't going to lose. Vegas isn't in the business to lose money. Some voters have already made their votes public and I guarantee those that have made their vote public or are willing to happily tell you who they voted for—Vegas knows it.

Heisman goes down as follow:

Sam Bradford
Tim Tebow
Colt McCoy

I think the Heisman Trophy award is a farce and total joke. You have a guy like Graham Herrell who wasn't even invited. It just seems like this award is based on a lot of politics and who campaigns the most for it. Most of these guys never amount to much in the pro's as they are a product of the college systems some schools run (Crouch of Nebraska for example, and Gino Torreta of Miami).

I think Alabama is a fraud and would be about the 5th best team in the Big 12. The SEC was a horrible conference this year. Alabama beat nobody.
