No one expected this defense too play this bad of a game. Even the best defenses have a few really bad games. But this qb and offense has turned the corner
we have a lot too be excited about in Miami. We have too crawl before we can walk. We are building something nice for the future. Get a grip with
all the crazy Dolphin hot garbage talk. Yes this loss hurts badly but let us finish 10-6 and see were the playoff chips fall. Even if we go 10-6 in a tough AFC this year is a success.
 
And we lost. Your point? Go stand in the huge soon to be consolation prize line. Or pick the silver linings queue. Your choice...
 
That 3rd in 20 leading to TD before half is the difference in the game to me.

Even if they hadn't gotten that, Denver still would have scored at the end of the game if they were down less than a TD. Our defense was beyond pathetic.
 
I'd rather build up from being average than rebuild from 1-15. We are not the Raiders, Bucs or Panthers we are really not that far off. Overly emotional fans are just like woman crying on Dr.Phil or Oprah.

Gotta close out games. Period. End of story. The D got run on for 167 yards. We're supposed to be tough to run on. The passive style of defense surprised me and the fact that Coyle stuck with it after it didn't work makes it worse. Our playmakers on defense didn't make play. A dogcrap o-line and a third team back made us look like we were a joke. Slashing us through the gut, pushing our invincible d-line all over the field, missed tackles all game and even when we made a hit we were dragged for another few yards. Jimmy Wilson-thanks for 3 huge penalties and for blowing the coverage on the Welker TD, he was exposed as a backup at best. The offense had the ball losing by 4 and what winners like Manning, Rogers and against us even Stafford do is march down the field and score the WINNING TD!!!! The offense played great except when they had to. They ran all over us is why we lost. I'd like to hear Coyle's explanation regarding why his unit bit the big bondango! Is that a word?? Doubt it but my point is clear. Felt bad for Tannehill and Landry, they balled their butts off. Moral victory=bullcrap, it's a loss, it was gut wrenching and we had more injuries. Why do the Football Gods hate us??
 
The offense plays well and the defense doesn't show up. Another game where the Dolphins can't put a full game together and beat a playoff caliber team. If you want to compete with New England or the elite teams in the league you have to close out games against the good teams. So far the Dolphins are 0-3 this year in those type of games. Look what New England did against Cincinnati, Denver, Indy and Detroit. If the Dolphins took care of business vs Green Bay, Detroit and Denver they would be in 1st place and the #1 seed in the conference right now. Instead they will probably struggle to win 9 games and miss the playoffs again.

Maybe guys like Wake, Vernon, Starks & Odrick need to show up for games like today but of course when they are needed most they appear to be auditioning against each other for the starring role in a new The Invisible Man flick.
