If it stops them getting injured, I'm sure they will wear them. Besides, you can guarantee people scoffed at the facemask when it came in first and said things like 'That looks stupid' and 'No football player would wear those'. If it's in the regulations and makes it a bit safer for them, you can bet they damn well will wear them. Although, having written that, it looks more like an arty prototype than an actual helmet. It'll probably be a bit different by the time it reaches the production stage, if it ever does.

i could see the ref's wearing something like that as those guys need alil more protection but it would probly be too hard to figure out who was who. i thing it looks fugly due to the lack of a good paintjob.. the grey of the facemask screams playskool plastic.

maybe douped up with color, logos, and with the uniforms on... it might not be too bad. plus, anything to help protect the head, the brain... i'm down with that.

I think they need to change it a little bit, they can Change it to look like the Helments now but use the same Metrial that they use for that helmen
