Helmet radio for Zack?

Read about proposal to allow Defensive players to wear a radio in their helmet, just like what QBs would wear. Zack for example would wear the helmet and communicate with a coach, lets say with Dom Capers.
It would allow the defense to be run more effectively.
I think this would be interesting, I think our defense would be better.
 
Well, everyone's defense would be better. Not just ours.

But, I like the idea. Offense's have it, so should the D.

I hear you bro, but one problem, the way Zach hits how long is that radio going to work?:wink:

the advantage may be for teams like ours though... we run a more complicated defense than a lot of teams, and while their D may run better, ours become more dangerous... either way, you're right, if O gets one, so should the D... Zach is our 'QB' on the defense, so its only right he'd get it
 
just to add..........

in the proposal....any ONE defensive player on every team will get to wear a radio......but that's it. If that player gets injured, then the team must play the rest of the game w/o it.

Why not let any player wear them......all if the team wants to foot the bill. The comms get shut off before the play (I think with 10-15 secs left on the play clock)....what's the big deal if ANY player on the field could hear the coaches??
 
With all the confusion that Zach said that there was last year picking up his defense, it could only help. Although he said he's got it down going into the 2nd season, still, it's only that much more of an assett.
 
Another thought would be have Bell or Poole wear the Radio if it would take a beating in Zacks helmet, so they could relay the palys in the huddle, and Zach could still move the defense around after that in adjustments if need be. Don't get me wrong, Zach is the man, and my faorite, I am just thinking of the impact that his helmet goes through.:wink:
 
Zach is already like a "defensive coach" out of the field, so I don't think he really would need much input from any defensive coaches, or the need for a radio. I guess it wouldn't hurt though.

Bro I think the thought was to get the play in faster so we could get set and react to the offense lining up.:wink:
