I am writing a paper on reasons to be a Dolphins fan. I did not know where to put this so I am sorry if i put this in the wrong place. I am talking about Culpepper and his 2004 season. Did he have the highest qb rating in NFL History or a record like that? I would like to clarify this. I thought I read something that said that. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Here is my paragraph if you have any other helpful stats or something that would also be greatly appreciated:

Next, fans are able to see Zach Thomas tackling running backs, Jason Taylor sacking quarterbacks, and Daunte Culpepper completing touchdown passes. Zach Thomas had 162 tackles, 107 of them were solo, in his 11th year as the Dolphin’s middle linebacker. In his 10th year of being the Dolphins right defensive end/outside linebacker Jason Taylor had 12 sacks last season in spite of an injured foot. Daunte Culpepper has yet to play a regular season game for the Dolphins, but in 2004 he had the highest quarterback rating ever in NFL history. These are the type of players that fans get excited about.

Like I said sorry if I put this in the wrong place.

If you live in central FLA or even Fla. you can use the fact he went to UCF for starters.

In 2004, Culpepper broke Marino's record for most total yards in a season. Don't know the exact number, but he also threw 39 TD's that year.

I believe he has the 3rd highest completion percentage in NFL history.

It's not too bad, but you have to be careful about switching tenses. Also, it's awkward to write "to get excited about" and it's not correct to end sentences with prepositions. It's better to make the verb transitive and write "these are the types of players that excite fans."

thx everyone for the help thx Miamian for the gramatical error. I will find a way to change it without copying your sentence.

Not passing yards. You are including rushing in that as well I suppose ?

Wow, Marino had less than 39 yards rushing in 1984...For some reason that sounds surprising...I thought he would have at least hit the 40 yard mark.

thx for all your help, in case you were interested, here is my final copy of the report:

Who is the best team to root for in the NFL? It is always fun rooting for the Miami Dolphins. The reasons for being a Miami Dolphin’s fan are being able to watch an improving team, getting to see great players play at a high level, and watch the rivalries between the AFC East who are one of the oldest rivalries in the league.

First, in 2005 the Miami Dolphins went from a 4-12 record to 9-7, vastly improving their team through out this off-season. They finished the season with a six game winning streak beating the Chargers and the AFC East Champion, the Patriots, during that stretch. They have improved their team this year by adding a pro-bowl quarterback, Daunte Culpepper, which should help the offense move down the field. They upgraded the defensive secondary with younger, faster players that are capable of playing at an incredible level of play. People are jumping on the bandwagon because of these acquisitions. They believe the Dolphins will win the superbowl.

Daunte Culpepper has yet to play a regular season game for the Dolphins, but in 2004 he finished the season with a 110.9 quarter back passing rating, the 3rd highest of all-time. Culpepper broke Dan Marino’s NFL record for combined passing and rushing yards, a phenomenal amount of 5,123 total yards. These are the type of players that excite fans and scare competing teams.

Finally, fans are able to enjoy watching some of the oldest rivalries compete against each other. The New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins have always played tough. Throughout the NFL the Jets have to be the biggest rivalry for the Dolphins due to the history between these two teams. Next would have to be the Bills. They have always done a lot against the Dolphins; stopping them in the playoffs, beating the Miami Dolphins so they don’t make the playoffs, and on top of that they play the Dolphins tough. After the Bill’s the newest of all the rivalries, due to the fact they have became great in the NFL, are the New England Patriots. Since 2001 the Patriots have won the AFC East conference every year except 2002 when the Jets won the division with a 9-7 record. Fans love rooting against these teams due to the history between these teams.
