If Miami doesn't make any more trades how do you guys vision the final roster going into the season.
I'm figuring :
3 qbs - Moore, Garrard and Tannehill
4 rbs - Miller, Bush, Thomas and Slaton
1 fb - Messam
5 wrs - Gates, Bess, Hartline, Cunningham, Matthews
3 tes - Fassano, Clay, Egnew
9 ol - Long, Martin, Incog, Jerry, Pouncey, Garner, Murtha, Willis, Cook
8 dl - Starks, Soliiai, Odrick, Wake, Vernon. Mcdaniels, Randall, ?????
8 lbs - Dansby, Burnett, Misi, Kudu, Guyton, Trusnick, Westerman, ????
9 dbs - Smith, Davis, Marshall, Carroll, Jones, Clemons, Wilson, Johnson. ?????
3 - special teams specialist.
That puts my roster at 52 with the final spot going to the best remaining player regardless of position.
I would like a reserve blocking tight end like Yeatman as the 53rd player, however it seems like that's the kind of player you can stash on the practice squad and bring up later if needed.
The team has really stacked up on young unproven talent, so I could really see them using the practice squad for a player like Te Les Brown, a receiver like Jeff Fuller and an offensive lineman or 2.
After watching a lot of Green Bay games, I really think the team needs a legit Fullback and I have my doubt's about Messam. I don't even see Clay playing Kuhn's roll. If they do sign a true fb, Messam or Slaton would have to go.
Possibly both Messam and Slaton could be gone if Jonas Gray is healty and unable to be stashed on IR for the year. I think someone would steal him if the team tried to put him on the practice squad.
The reason I kept Cook, Garner and Willis as reserves is they are all versatile linemen.
If Tannehill wins the starting job or looks ready to be the primary backup, I could see the loser of the Garrard - Moore battle being released or traded. I don't see either on a roster as the # 3 qb.
With the hybrid 4-3 - 3-4 defense, I'm having a hard time with figuring the DL and lb's. If we're running the 4-3 more, eight linebackers seem like overkill.
