Hey fellow Dolfans. I am new to this message board and instead of sifting through all the old posts, I thought it would be easier to get my feet wet with this board with a couple of general questions that would help me get a feel for people's thoughts about the team this year. After reading responses, I feel that I will have enough background to join in on the fun! Thanks and I look forward to hearing people's responses.

1) What is the general feeling of the Cam Cameron hiring?
2) What are the three strongest and weakest positions on this team (excluding QB because I feel like I already know people's thoughts on this)
3) What are people's realistic predictions for this upcoming season.

Welcome to the boards!

1) I like the hiring of Cam Cameron.

2) The three strongest are probally RE( Jason Taylor), LB (Thomas, Crowder, Porter), and RB (Ronnie Brown)
The three weakest are probally OLine, Defensive Backs, and DLine (excludding RE)

3. Id say maybe 9-7, maybe 10-6 depending on how our QB situation ends up. I for one am against the signing of Green, and ALL for Carr

Agree with you one hundred percent about carr over green but i dont think our D line is a weakness othawise i agree with everything

1- I like what he did in San Diego, but that was with LT and some good qb play. I like that he is not (so far) traded away picks even getting some more.
2- LB, RB Dline strengths, qb oline weak
3- too early for realistic predictions so 11-5

1) Cameron is a classy guy. He is very grounded, and has a good system. I know he will do a good job in Miami. Maybe the best coach since Shula.

2) Strongest Position: LB, DL, and RB (with Ricky reinstatement). Weakest Position: QB (uncertainty), DB, OL

3) I think Miami can make the playoffs. Like I said, Cameron is grounded, so if the team clicks, then they can win right now. A lot of the same players are back. I can easily see them going 10 - 6 and making the playoffs.

1. He seems to be someone who really wants to be here unlike Nick Satan. I think the players and fans are excited and I have not heard too many people who were against hiring him. He did a good job in San Diego.
2. Weakest positions: QB, LT, and maybe Safety?
Strongest positions: LB's, RB, DE (JT)
3. I think 8-8 is realistic, depending on our QB situation.

1) Cameran is an excellent hire. He seems to work well w/ Mueller. Has a history of developing QB's. We needed an offensive minded coach in order to balance the team. Keeping Dom as the D coordinator strengthens this choice.

2) Strengths are: a) the front 7 on defense, b) The running back position, c) Defensive & offensive coordinators-- Dom & Cameron.

Weaknesses are: a) offensive line, b) DB's, c) no symbiotic relationship between QB, RB, & receivers...they don't bring out the best in each other.

3) Realistically, I'd have to wait till the roster is filled before I can make any predictions. In theory, we should improve and be able to win a couple more games.

1) Thank God we have a head coach who knows a thing or two about Offense.

2)Strongest: LBs, RBs(come on Ricky!!), DL
Weakest: O-line (times 100 lol), DB, and recievers hands (with the exception of Booker)

3) At least 7-9, I am hoping we snag that wild card at 9-7 though.

Thank you all for your replies!

I like the fact that there wasn't too many differences in people's analysis and it's no surprise that my views are similar.

I am usually not one to make bold predictions, but I am generally optimistic of the Cam Cameron hiring and the future success of the team under Cameron. I usually give a new head coach a one year grace period to instill his system. Even though it is a grace period I at least expect to see positive signs from the team throughout the season. After the grace period I fully expect at least a playoff appearance. We will see how Cameron fares.

The draft should prove interesting and based on their draft position I am hoping they get Laron Landry. I think he will be a Pro Bowler before too long and a major impact player for our defense this year if drafted.

I would still like to hear other people's thoughts if there are any. Thanks!
