Henne Boo's blown out of proportion by media

Well let's see how Henne does in Daboll's system before we pull the plug on him.

i cant condemn anyone for being patient, i just cant get with that program any longer. this qb situation is dampening my enthusiasm for this season, i know it sounds crazy but my expectations with henne under center are so low i feel like it is throwing out a year. im selfish and impatient, like many of you ive spent alot of my hard earned time and money on this team and im tired of having to watch old dvds and you tube clips to feel good about my team. i would love for henne to ****ing roast the league and ill eat my crow everyday for the rest of my time here but i havent seen anything from him yet that would make me believe that could happen

I understand what you mean. I'm not high on Henne either. My only point is that it's too early to give up on Henne and boo him. We want him to succeed. Build his confidence and cheer for him. If we're like 0-4, then I can understand. But not in the beginning of practice.

true, but let the record show i have given up on him already, that is really the only point of yours im having trouble with.

i cant downplay how bad the play calling was, but he was not on the field. ultimately henne was under center not henning. his play calling was the worst i have ever seen in my 20 plus years as a dolfan, on par with Olividottis defenses but the blame has to fall on the players.

I can agree Henne deserves some of the blame, but IMO Henning deserves most of the blame. I have no doubt the man sandbagged it, because his good buddy the TUNA was basically ignored after he drafted the HUGE bust named Pat White.

That's just where we differ on opinions then. As long as you don't boo him and hope he fails like the other posters here, that's fine.

ive never been oneto boo our players, but i have long since softened my stance on that issue. i used to be critical of people who voiced their displeasures openly but now it doesn't bother me as much. im of the belief that we need a mentally strong player at the most important position on the team, not someone who cries in the corner when things arent going his way. im not calling henne out on this because we have heard nothing to the contrary. i guess in a long winded way im saying it isnt my cup of tea but i wont give you or anyone else a dirty look for a few boos.

I was out there. It started on several occasions. I knew before hand Henne was going to get booed and the chants of Orton would happen. First practice, with pads brand new offense against a top 5 defense while playing in little Havana, I didn't expect anything else from some ignorant fans.
Ignorant Fans? Really? Do you know what the word ignorant means? It mean's your implying these fans have no knowledge of this person, his history or any of his prior performances and level of play. I hardly think those fan's are ignorant and know quite clearly what lies ahead with this guy under center. Is Orton the answer? Most likely not but is he better than Henne? Yes, hands down but then again there are very few current starters in the NFL right now that aren't better. Personally, I'd be making a much stronger push for Carson Palmer if all your looking for is a 2-3 year stop gap and he may just have the skill set to take this team to that next level. Should Henne be given yet another chance? No he shouldn't because if he hasn't picked it up by now he just not gonna get it and should only be considered as a good, young backup QB and that's not even remotely what this team needs as a leader. Unfortunately by the looks of things though we have no choice but to accept him as our QB for now and I guess it's a little unfair to him to be booed but given what he's shown so far, even Henne had to expect it and should expect it until he can prove otherwise.

these guys who did the booing should be ashamed and it can´t be tolerated by officials, if this goes on, they have to close this thing to the open public

No fan should ever be booing... especially at a PRACTICE. Cheer the defense, don't boo the offense, and vice versa. The only time when it's appropriate to boo your own team is when they give up and walk off the field.

Dan henning didnt lock onto receivers or panic in the pocket under the slightest pressure. henne doesnt seem to have any pocket awareness and i know the 3 second clock excuse is coming but how many times do you see the opportunity to buy some time for our guys to get open downfield and henne at the first hint of pressure dump the ball off. i dont care what they preach to this guy about not turning the ball over and getting rid of it. the guy has been a starter practically his whole life, he doesnt have IT and it isnt going to develop because that moronic offensive coordinator is gone.

I was watching practice last night from the middle of the stands and I have to tell you that I doubt Tom Brady or Peyton Manning would have had any greater success at that scrimmage on day 4 of practice. Not defending or making excuses for any QB (they all had their problems last night). But that defense was swarming like mad hornets on steroids. And I think our defense is so good, it plays into the mindset that develops in the QB's head that the only way to HAVE success against a really good defense is to take what they give you (i.e. the check-down effect). The checkdowns are something we've all come to hate, but when there's nothing else there, or the QB cant see 75% of the field because his vision is blocked by the swarm, what else is left?

All the QB's performed pretty well during the route drills, hitting most receivers in stride, back shoulder, etc where the defenders couldn't get to the ball. It was only during the full scrimmage (what maybe 12-15 plays), and consistent breakdown of the O-line against our D that the QB's had problems. Yet even then, we scored points.

That said, I agree with the poster that Chad Henne got boo'ed for all of 4 seconds on the result of a single play, and on that play, he connected with a TE over the middle who then got blasted by a defensive player (couldn't see who), causing the TE to drop the pass. Other than that, I did not hear the Orton chants at all. Maybe they were too insignificant for most people to notice unless you were Omar Kelly sitting right there...

Said my peace...telling it like I saw it.

No offense, but I was there. The boo birds what bad enough that me father-in-law who was with me and is an ex- Jai-alia player to me, I was athlete, I know what that is like and this is hard to watch and hear. He continued telling me how when fans do that it completely messes with your emotions. Media is not blowing up, they are reporting exactly what happen.

Jai alai player eh? My dad was a jai alai pro player and played in dania.
