Henne Buzz

We as fans should show up at practice and chant "We want Henne" The guy deserves it. He took all the bs and came out balling and showed incredible character. Don't say it's only one game, most of you saying that are the ones that are dooming the defense after only "one game"....

Henne delivered....PERIOD!!

Brady was on fire...no doubt. But it cannot be ignored this team was not ready for this game regardless.

I'm happy, because I've been screaming to anyone who would listen since last year...Henne is the answer, get him a real OC and you'll see...early evidence shows I'm right

I was glad to see that Henn played good, but really after one game against a less than stellar defense we now think the light has come on. So i guess we all agree that our defense will suck all year because they played bad against NE. U cant have it both ways.

Well that's a convenient talking point. Whether stellar or not, their defense, which now seems to be upgraded over 2010 was good enough to help win 14 games last season and in December whip the vaunted Jest D 45-3, holding playoff-bound team and their Taco to 1 field goal and 3 interceptions. Then the following week they held the division champion Chi Bears and 1 of the league's prevailing leading passers to all of 7 points.

Sorry, that passive aggressive equivocation doesn't fly.. so why not just give credit
where it's due.

hate to tell u I was a big supporter of henne from the moment we drafted him. I have acknowledged that he took a huge step back in play last season and put much of the blame on the coaching staff the whole staff, but its really way too early after one game to say oh yea the lighht has came on and he is a good qb, hell he has had good games before. People on this board are so reactionairy whena good or bad game is had. I look at the overalll body of work. Now if u want to say the line has sucked well that has been going on for a while and u can form an opinion even with new personnel. Its just as ill informed to suppose that henne will continue to play great as it is to think our defense will continue to suck.

Henne has good games before..His problems have been inconsistency..Lets hope he can keep it up.

it certainly helps that we have the best WR group in a loooong time. Marshall and Bess are money over the middle. Hartline and Gates can run, Fasano is really underrated and Bush out the backfield? That's a lot of guys to cover! Henne has the squad to put up super numbers.

I don't disagree.. the burden is on him to perform consistently. However, I'm merely pointing out that your attempt to minimize Monday night's performance by devaluing the defensive component of a team that went 14-2 and in December held the Jets to 3pts and Cutler and the Bears to 7, and now looks to have even upgraded from that, does not gain much traction. It's like some of the folks in exhibition season pointing out that Carolina was one of the worst teams (but not because of their middle of the road defense) as an excuse for Henne's good performance... then what do you know, the next week he had a good game against TB, a top 10 scoring Defense, so it's on to look for other excuses and reasons to qualify his performance. Really, it's getting ponderous. Why can't folks just give credit where it's due to someone who's rising to the occasion so far after coming into camp almost humiliated, being booed and with more pressure than most QBs have to contend with.

believe me if he keeps it up, nobosy wants to give him credit more than me, NE 's strength though is not their defense, carolina's defense was made worse because of their offense. If Henne continues to play well I for one will be happy. i damn sure dont wanna see matt Moore ever take a snap for us.

Agreed 100%. In each of the last two seasons after the JETS MNF game, the main thing said in these boards was WE GOT OUR QB OF THE FUTURE..YAYYY! People need to calm down. The Pat's defense is suspect at best and that was the first game of the season.

He's more in control now, and the new scrambling is great. Personally I had a much better feeling about the Pats game than that MNF game against the Jets.

I agree but Henne has never put a game together like he did on Monday night. Last year every possession I held my breath for that one huge mistake, Henne had that once trying to fit a pass into the end zone for a TD, other then that he played lights out with a new command. On a complete game level in terms of mistakes/bad decisions this was by far the best I have seen him play.

Now he needs to do it every week.

Looks like the Broncos fans' brief honeymoon period with Orton is over. IMO, if it was up to the fans they'd probably throw in a pick with Orton in a trade for Henne after both games last night.

Funny Orton Bashing thread (but more or less like the majority of them all offseason)

After following this link and seeing the state of that forum it really makes me thankful for the people that manage this site. You guys do a great job!! Keep up the great work!
