Henne can't audible, Henne can't play out of the shotgun, Henne can't play action, Henne can't run. This is all I heard from the basher circle jerk club. They wanted to blame him for the obvious short comings of Hennings offense. He did all of this tonight and looked comfortable doing it.

I won't lie: when I saw Henne audible and then complete that bullet to Bess over the middle, I started to spring wood.

Nah its the Panthers that suck... Henne cant succeed no way... Look, its still pre-season and I get that, its still a poor carolina team and I get that too. But I'm freaking releived to see this kind of performance from our boys... Its a freakin' blast actually... WE ARE DOING WHAT GOOD TEAMS ARE SUPPOSE TO DO! I love it!

I get it is the Panthers, but with that list of things...I don't care who you are playing, you can or you can't. Henne proved he can do all of the above, and confirms what I suspected that is was Henning's play calling and not Henne unable to do these things. He did it in College and he did it tonight.

Henne can't throw deep and Henne can't throw touch passes. Those are the two Henne "he can'ts" I claim and luckily for him, Daboll was calling plays and giving him an opportunity to make plays that didn't require that.

I never really cared one way or another about him running but it is really nice to see him getting out of the pocket and get those extra yards.

Hennes best game as a pro was 2 years ago against Jacksonville. He was poised in the pocket, made all the throws, made all the reads, and spent a lot of the game in the shotgun. It has never been that Henne can't do it! It has been that Henne hasn't done it consistently!

Really? Your going to puff your chest about this performance against the worst team in the league?

Get some perspective dude, it was nice too see Henne play decent for a half, but it will take consistency and good play against much better opponents than tonights to prove anything.

On the negative side he nearly threw a PIC 6, a good corner would have done it.

BS! its always been about what he could'nt do for you to say that is garbage

Wait, wait, wait. You're telling me one of the champions of "Henne can't read zone" and so on is admitting he actually *can*?

So all the good things he did prove nothing, but the bad things do count?

Yeah, that's balanced.

No, what is balanced is realizing that 2 years of inconsistent below par play is not wiped in one half against the team that drafted number one overall this year.

I've been watching this team too many years to start drinking the kool aid this early based on a game against such a weak opponent.

And two bad passes do not wipe out an entire half of good football.

it was henning offense.. that offense was made to limit mistakes and consume time. now our offense is about setting up for the big play.. get the ball to your playmakers.. set up other players for success (marshall setting up gates deep, gates setting up bess underneath)

Pay attention when he does well I say he does. Tonight was a very typical scripted Henne performance. Several single read passes, not taking any chances. The type of game that blows up after halftime when DCs make their adjustments.
