Henne can't

I will give you that. You don't resort to the you just hate to hate argument, but it is clearly obvious no about of evidence is good enough for you.

Look, if you were willing to go through the games, try to decipher coverage schemes on *every single play*, come up with numbers that say "Henne threw for X passes total. Y were against zone, Z were against man. --% of his Y passes were incomplete/intercepted, which is clearly higher than --% of his Z passes, therefore Henne struggles worse against zone", I'll give up the argument, no questions asked. Hell, I'll even help you chart the plays.

But no one - not a single person - that tries to argue the point has presented any kind of analysis like that; not even for a single game. I'll repeat that: not even for a single game. Hence there's no evidence of what you're trying to prove.

lol i love all this "I told you so" nonsense every week. Some of you guys are like children. "In your face Hennebot had a good preseason game!"

First of all, you haven't presented stats. You're presenting anectdotal evidence, which is NOT the same thing.

Second, I'd love to see some stats. Hell, I've been clamoring for them the past two weeks. But numbers, as you have wisely mentioned, don't tell the whole story.

Here's an example. Let's assume for the sake of argument that Henne threw 50 incomplete/intercepted passes against zone. That's bad, right? But out of how many passes? How many of his total attempts were against zone? What kind of zone are we talking about? In what situation did he throw these passes: where they on close games, or on blowouts?

I do want evidence beyond reasonable doubt, because if there's room for doubt, you can't really DECLARE something. You can argue about it, but that's where it'll stay - as an argument. You will never DEMONSTRATE something you can't PROVE.

You can't break a football game down like that. Simply put you go by what situations give the worst results. With Henne it is zone coverage. Can he beat it? Has he beat it? Sure, but his.worst outings are against it. And yes I can tell different schemes when watching the game.

So you would argue Marino had a worthless career then?

No but I would argue in his one Superbowl appearance he had a bad game against a better team.

Funny, NFL teams do it every single week. Seems you actually *can* break the games down like that.

Here are some other guys who have done the same.

And I find incredibly dissonant how you feel that you can't break the game down by situation or plays, but you can actually tell different defensive schemes from the TV. It's not impossible, but it's extremely hard.

Are you a accountant or statistician? No I will not break down play by play for you because well on my days off I have better things to do. There are guys on here that probably have those numbers for you though Cm? Tedslimm? Hoops?

Nope, not an accountant or statistician. I also have better things to do. But I won't take your word for (insert argument here) just because you don't want to do the legwork.

And I gladly await those numbers.

Nevermind! You are just going to continue to spin things! You are right I can't look at a overhead angle and read a defense, but the QB can do it from behind center.

Fair enough. So Henne had a bad game tonight?

No he had a game similar to many he has had in the past. He played well for a half, but like I have said before it tends to be the third qt after the dc makes halftime adjustments he struggles.

Here you go 19 ints last year 15tds that should do it for you! Those are the numbers of a bad QB.

WTF is the point of all arguing? Can't people just enjoy a win as Phin fans regardless of whether or not it matters, or who we played, or yada yada yada. Jesus ****ing christ it's obnoxious. It's sad to see how depressing people get after a win. The game was pointless, but it's Dolphins football. I love watching OUR team hitting on all cylinders against a team we are supposed to destroy. When was the last time that happened; even in preseason. Appreciated it for what it is... a game where the Phins played well. Enjoy it. Who cares about the circumstances. Man, sometimes I really can't help but to wonder if some fans on this site are hoping the Dolphins fail. Luckily it's not the majority of posters; just a few select opinionated downers.

I give Henne props for putting together a great half against a defense he should be able to torch. Daboll schemed to Henne's strengths. It was a fun thing to watch. Let's hope this can transfer to the season.

Ok I follow your logic now! Here is a analogy are you ready?

I am a airline pilot I have amassed thousands and thousands of hours safely flying passengers to their destinations world wide. Now tomorrow I go out and fly a flawless flight I mean never a bump! Except right before landing j misjudge the crosswind and the airplane cart wheels down the runway bursting into flames killing everyone. I am still a good pilot right? after all in 99% of my crosswind landings I was good. Is only one bad landing enough evidence?
