Henne Embracing New Offense With Passion

Save for Gates, we had the exact same receiving core last season. Didn't help.

They drop into zone, what is Henne suppose to do, dump it off every single down? Then we will be on here calling him a checkdown Chad, and probably blaming him for Bush being injured.

Most of this is moot, as Henne will still be under pressure without teams blitzing.

You really dont know whats been going on on the inside do you? admit it. your just a negga nilly lookin for something to cry about.

there is a monumental difference between last years receivers and this years. the biggest factor is the offensive scheme is the polar opposite and you have arguably the best receiving RB in the league then that alone will make the difference.

its amazing what a new offense could do to a qb, maybe that is what he needed a west coast type offense

Ah, so do inform me, what is going on inside the organization? Oh wait, you dont either. So we both only have to go on what we see, which is practice games and history.

So, with your great intellectual capacity and keen observation, what have i said thats out of line?
Chad Henne struggles against zone schemes? According to the real games last season, thats truth. Reggie Bush gets injured if overused? 16 games in 3 seasons(a third of the time, just to spell it out for you), so thats true. Our offensive line has struggled even without teams blitzing? Well, they struggled against the mighty 2-14 Panthers not a week ago and the Bucs this past week, two defensive lines that are talented but not on the level that some in our division are.

Remember, dont follow the herd mentality that there is nothing wrong with our team ever and if you disagree you must just be a "negga nilly".

What difference in our receiving core?
Marshall, check. Bess, check. Fasano, check. Hartline, check. Gates, difference as i mentioned. Where is the "monumental difference"? Reggie Bush, thats it. While an exciting player, if healthy, he doesn't single handily jump us into a top 5 offense. If people are expecting check downs to Bush to be the end all be all of the national football league then they better be prepared for more field goals. It didn't work for the Saints and they had more weapons to stretch the field then we do.

Our offensive scheme is encouraging, but i hardly think its unreasonable to wait until...oh, i dont know, the other team creates a gameplan. Henne had some of his best games as a professional against teams that blitz'd him constantly and used man coverage. He faltered big time against teams in zone.
Lets wait to see how he does against something new before we start claiming this offense is going to be the second coming of the Greatest Show on Turf.

Draboll has been our biggest off season acquisition. I'll stand by it.

Look what Nolan has been to our defense.

Henne deserves some observation during this new change.

So far, encouraging... but let's, as always... see some consistency.

did you forget we got a new OC? Henning was beyond awful and so far I like everything I have seen from Dabolls offense. 10x more aggressive than last year
