anyone notice how once Grove went out with an injury Henne's INTs SKY ROCKETED?

They say a C is a QBs best friend because htey diagnose zones, man to mans, blitzes, coverage etc and he lost a lot of help on the field as a "rookie" he needed that.

Yeah But alot of it had to do with us falling behind so fast lately & he's forced to win it wit below average WR who can barely get any seperation

oh yea that I know and thats a given. I was just mentioning something I just realized the other day.

This^^

They don't want Henne throwing it 50 times every game.. I promise you that... especially when he's put in a position where he has to play come back football with sub par receivers and subsequently has to force throws due to lack of separation...& that's where some of the ints come from..

Couple all that with the fact that the guy doesn't even have a full season of experience under his belt....... I'm surprised he's had the poise to come back from his mistakes and lead comebacks as a "rookie".

I was also wondering if some of his high throws were caused by this as well, but I have a little different take. With Berger at center it seems that he is pushed farther back from the line of scrimmage than what Grove is. I am wondering if because of this pressure and faster closing pocket up front does Henne maybe not feel as comfortable with following through on his throws which is causing the balls to rise and be thrown high.

I think the increase in INT's correlates more with Ronnie going down than anything IMO. That has forced us to throw the ball more and put more responsibility on Henne.

He was throing it like 50 times a game. That is why that number went up. We will not win amny, if any, games if the plan is to throw it 50+ times.

3 of the past 4 games he threw it 52, 46, and 55.. Not something you would expect your 1st year starting QB to do... and if he has to, that means we are certainly losing the game.
