Henne is a not a winner. Thats all. (admin note no one on the team is)

How do you settle for a field goal knowing a TD will beat you? Why not go for a first down or throw into the endzone to try and put a dagger in the heart?

It was classic gutless offense to say the least...you might even say chick**** call. Like you need ten yards for a first and you throw a four yard pass and hope the WR breaks a tackle and makes a first down. Why not throw to a moving target that is BEYOND the first down marker?

Daboll better pull out all the tricks in his bags the next two weeks, time to put some excitement back in the offense and quit being so predictable. Daniel Thomas needs more carries and Reggie Bush needs the ball in open space, throw to him out of the backfield like the Dolphins used to do with Tony Nathan.

What's up with the rookie Clay? I thought he was the secret weapon? He has been really quite, same thing can be said of Clyde Gates. We need to score TOUCHDOWNS...that is the one thing that is killing us...REDZONE OFFENSE is just plain offensive!

Possibly because the team you are facing hadn't mounted a successful, sustained drive all day (the 1 TD was a long pass).

I'm sure if Sparano had gone for it, it's almost assured that Henne wouldn't have made it (seeing as we saw what he was like in the game's only other pressure situation), you or 50 other disgruntled fans would be here saying it was the dumbest thing on Earth for a coach only up by a FG to ignore extending a lead against a team whose offense had been pathetic all day.

Palmer was these things. There was a point in time where he was elite, but since 2006 he's had a lot of yards, a lot of TD's, a lot of picks, and not a lot of wins. The only competitive fire seems to be used to combat his own team, not the opponent.
You make some good poinst, but the one important point you are missing is he plays for the BUNGALS for cryin' out loud, under one of the worst head coaches in the NFL. The only reason he keeps the job is because Mike Brown knows nobody else wants that job which is why Palmer wants out. Can you really blame a guy who has been on two winning teams in his career?

You seriously asking this?

If you have a coach who celebrates every FG like we just kicked a game winning FG in the Superbowl with time expiring you will always settle for a FG. Always.

The team reflects its HC: just good enough. If we are just good enough we maybe just make enough FGs to win. And when your kicker misses one and your QB is incompetent to move the team 15 yards than 'just good enough' is not good enough anymore. Henne is a QB for FGs. He can not lead the team in the red zone. Once in the red zone the field gets much smaller. More bodies on much less space and the game speeds up. Successful QBs in the red zone can make quick decisions, make their reads fast, can adjust quick. Henne has none of these attributes. Our QB is a reflection of our HC: just good enough and most of the time that's just not good enough.

How many QBs in the league don't get those 15yards? Tavaris Jackson, a couple of the rookies, hell even Kerry Collins gets it done!

No, I would say at least they showed a killer attitude and tried to put the Browns away...keeping them in the game....I knew the Browns were going to march right down the field just as the Patriots and Texans did with the game on the line. Why were you so surprised at the outcome? I thought Henne could've gotten us in field goal range, but that is asking too much apparently.

Maybe he needs to look in the mirror to figure out why he's only been on two winning teams. He is the starting QB after all.

LMAO I am tired of all the Joe Flacco's, Sam Bradford's, Matt Ryan's, Dirty Sanchez's, Fitzpatrick's, Matthew Stafford's continue to lead their teams to wins and our QB's struggle to get a first down.

Tavaris Jackson and Kerry Collins have hardly gained 15 yards all year. I am not a Henne supporter, but that doesn't mean that these absolute turds are any better.

Pay attention I said Jackson doesn't, but the drunk does!
