Henne is near perfect.......

Couldn't be because that offense was predicated upon short, accurate passes which is Pennington's trademark? I'm not making excuses for Henne this year, but the refs need to call that pass interference/holding on that last play of the game.

u r right about Penny

However, we shouldn't even be talking about a potential PI or Holding call. Shuld have never came to that if we had a competant QB who had 3 chances before this said play

That is all on the QB...The game was there for the taking and he could not churn out 10 yards for a W.

I am not one to live in the past but I remember a great QB once who could have put up 7 in 1/2 that time. There are a few playing today who would have but of-course we didnt draft them...we needed OL-Men & CB's.

some people just don't seem to understand that it's about scoring lol

What is the difference between Sanchez and Henne? Sanchez throws a TD in the redzone or completes atleast 1 pass setting up a game winning FG.

Heck any other QB n the NFL would salivate at all the redzne opportunities Henne gets, the majority of them actually puts TD's on the board also.

Henne is the offensive version of Jason Taylor. Solid to good for 3 1/2 quarters then chokes in crunch time. Oh go figure Taylor had that bone-headed offsides at the worst time of the game which pretty much lost the game. 4th and 10 rather then 3rd and 5 if Taylor just DOES HIS JOB.

STOP TRYING TO GUESS THE SNAP COUNT.

I'm so tired of a draw play on second and long after a penalty. Then we throw the ball for 5 yards on like 3rd and 13. Can't we throw it on 2nd down and 3rd down for once and actually try to score?

Marshell has dropped several TDs -
Hartline dropped 1 -
Play calling changes bigtime in the redzone - not enough options, plays take too long to get going, They D's BLITZ the piss outta them.

Do you not get that Henne is calling routes and arranging plays at the LOS? He sees the coverage and decides what to do. It's not the coaches calling in worthless plays, it's Henne deciding what he thinks he can execute best and either making a bad decision in that regard or completely failing to execute.

Henne is what he is. A solid QB who can manage a game. All those decent looking stats mean nothing when he fails to put points on the board. Can't get us TD's in the redzone. Can't get us a first down on the last drive of the game. Not good enough, plain and simple.

It's not about big plays, it's about scoring points. I don't care how they happen, but the fact of the matter is Henne just doesn't get them in the red zone.[/Q

How about our Receivers need to get open in the Red Zone. Starting with B Marshal!

How about you stop looking at the 4 or 5 plays that justify your post and look at the other 20 plays where Henne was garbage or called a bad play, took a bad sack, overthrew a WR or threw and uncatchable ball.

For every dropped TD or bad route there is 3 or 4 Henne mishaps that either follow or preceed that play

I am not on the Henne bandwagon by any means but the last drive of the game Columbo was beaten badly on 3rd and 4th down. On 3rd bess was wide open on the curl route and 4th down may have been different if the play had time to progress.

Henne and the Oline are both contributing factors to the red zone problems. No matter what the cause it is pathetic to see our team dominate the browns with 37 min of possession, but loose the game due to poor red zone offense and a missed fg. The Reggie fumble didn't help much either.
