Henne prepares for contract year

I challenge anyone to sign up for the NFL's game rewind and go back and watch last year's games again and then tell me they think Henne will have anything close to a good year.

I have been watching last year's games over again the last few days and I have concluded that Henne doesn't really have any good parts to his game.

In some aspects of QBing he is totally inept, a QB retard. He has no business in the NFL.

So in other words, he's preparing himself for the unemployment line.

What I saw and not in all his games but some, was a decent QB UP UNTIL that point in the game when for some unknown reason, he either throws a bounce pass, a pass that is 5 yards too short , or a pass 10 feet over someones head to the sideline. From that point forward in the game he simply loses it. His ability and most likely confidence , goes bye bye. Like I said though, in some games, up until the above point in time, he does actually look not half bad.

Biggest problem is his almost destined time to throw the ball in the dumper. I, like you, have watched a lot of the games over and over and even when his protection is there, his decision making and accuracy , for one reason or another, goes bye bye. The frustrating thing for me, it seems to always come at a point when or IF he completed the pass, it would have been the jolt needed to keep moving downfield. Instead its like speeding along at 85 then BAM, blowout in a tire. Must admit, the recievers also stopped some decent drives too by dropping passes they should have caught.

Like I said though, this year, he is apparently our guy, its his contract year and its most definately his last chance to show not only himself but his coaches he is fully able to handle the job so I have to pull for the kid, we have no other choice. Moore is not even a choice IMO. I would have to assume they are going to give him full charge up until the bye week. Either he keeps the keys after that or they send South Beach Towing to pick up the mess.

This from the guy who gets a thrill down his leg watching Colin Kaepernick play quarterback.

Right there with you. Being a pro is about being consistent, which Henne has never been. I predict he'll be a career backup after this season.

So it sounds like most of you are thinking he will be the $5-10M QB and a backup after this year.

It would be hard to present an argument against that. I guess we will all see.

I can only imagine what this place would be like if Henne had a good season and got a $50 million deal from the Dolphins. Ho-ly ****, would that be funny.
What an epic and highly entertaining thread that would be.

Henne will be out of football next year

says the guy....

That wouldn't be funny at all. First of all, if Henne got 50 million is because he marched us to a Super Bowl victory and he was the MVP. If that happens then hooray for us and hooray for Henne for learning how to play football. I don't care who's the franchise QB's name, it can be Devlin, Carpenter can convert to QB for all I care, I just want a ****ing quarterback.

But from what I've seen so far from Henne he's not it, and the only reason why he gets as many chances as he does is because our FO is filled with clowns who don't bring the proper competition to push Henne. All these years not drafted a quarterback in the first or second round, we shouldn't be settling with just one QB, we should have drafted several by now and have them all compete till we get the right one. But no, let's keep drafting linebackers and linemen.

Matt Leinart who was 10 times the prospect of Henne did not get this many opportunities. I bet Leinart wished he was drafted by Miami to get all these chances to start without showing much of anything.

I disagree with this. I had Leinart as a third rounder.

Not me, he fooled me too. But like the other poster said, he did not even get close to the amount of chances Henne has gotten and we all have to admit his college career was 10 X better then what Chad Hennes was.

No we don't.

Leinart is basically his generation's Gino Torretta, a weak-armed passer who facilitated the offense and won the Heisman on a hugely talented team. Leinart didn't have much of his own talent, and the Cardinals eventually realized this. Besides, you don't get chances in the NFL because of what you did in college. You get chances because you're talented, which Chad Henne is (and Matt Leinart isn't).
