Consistency on the o-line will help Ronnie and Henne develop big time. If the fins can stay healthy, Watch out. Henne, Ronnie, Ginn, Long. the seeds have been planted, lets just watch them grow.

If we resign V.Carey this off season, which we will have plenty of cap room to do. Then our oline could be together for the next 3 years at least. Our o-line hasn't been the same for even two consecutive seasons for at least ten years.
Time left on Contract
Long-5 yrs
Smiley-5 years
Satele-3years
Thomas-3 years
Carey-FA in 2009

i can really see pennington being the qb for those 3 years if he wins football games

No way, Henne guaranteed. Coach loves him. The ONLY way it's Pennington for three years is if he wins BIG, I'm talking 11 wins and a Playoff victory.

I agree...if Fiedler can have success like the 2002 season, just think what Pennington can do with this O-line especially when the young guys get more experience and they really start to gel as a unit. I'm hoping Ricky can stick around for 3 seasons.

If Penni wins games and we even sniff the playoffs then let him play. We have Henne under contract so he isn't going anywhere. Coach LOVES Penni at this point too (signed him basically the day he was cut) after watching Beck and McCown flounder about for weeks. Please let Cam trade us a third or even fourth for Beck.
Ronnie Brown is on the hot seat, injury or not, and he knows it. If these boys cut Davis then it is PROOF that no one is above being cut or traded.

There's a big difference between Keith Davis, a career backup and ST-er, and Ronnie Brown.

and i think ronnie SHOULD be traded if he has a lackluster injury laiden year yet again.
yeah...well...I dont think he WILL be traded, but we cant relie on a runningback has outstanding potential, but cant reach it due to re-occuring injuries.Cause,Im sure Parcells doesnt have a problem with Ronnie as a person, but as a player, coaches really dont care who you are or where you were drafted,if you cant consistantly stay healthy and keep on the field, their not going to want you.Cause Im pretty sure an average running back, but one who stays healthy will do plenty for Parcells, than one who can be a top back, but cant CONSISTANTLY stay on the field...

I'm about the biggest Ronnie Brown fan there is, but if he fails to stay healthy again this year or show any progress coming back from the injury, it will be hard for me to make a case for him to stay on the team. If that ends up being the case, i wouldn't mind moving him for a first day choice if possible, or a 3rd rounder, and picking up Beanie Wells in the draft. That guy is a STUD!
