At least so far Chad Henne looks like a steal for the dolphins, Especially when salaries are compared to the other new QB starters this year. At this point he has a better record, Higher completion percentage and better rating than his competition. It is still to early to tell if any of these guys will become great QB's but there is no reason at this point to believe Henne is behind schedule or a lesser quarterback than the other higher paid first year starters from this years draft. Lets hope he continues to progress!

I agree but henne had the luxery of sitting a year behind CP. I think we should compare him to ryan, flacco etc. to see where he stands up to that class.

Well keep in mind he was not in this past draft so it really isnt a steal compared to those guys. You need to compare his numbers with those of Ryan and Flacco since he was in that draft class. But either way for his salary it is definitely a steal although Flacco is probably getting paid similar money.

The thing you're not taking into account is that we took Long in Rd.1.

The Lions still don't have a franchise LT and will have to spend another high pick to get one.

As long as Henne cominues to progress, we filled the 2 biggest holes a team can have in 1 draft.

Henne was projected to be a top 10 pick. The reason we got such a steal is that he was injured in his Senior year. That cost him atleast 10 million dollars minimum. Now he has a chance to make it all back and more....

Where did you get that??? Henne was a borderline 1st early 2nd round pick according to the scouts.

Stafford is an idiot. I won't be surprised if he's never a big-time NFL stud. I can see Sanchez doing a bit better as time goes on. I agree though. I love Henne. I loved it when we drafted him and I've wanted to see him play for this team for a long time now. And yeah, having Long and two awesome RBs helps his cause. However, and a big however, Henne does NOT have the luxury of having a #1 WR like the other 2.

Agreed, I think this sort of comparision makes him look good. Not saying I think he's bad but, Ryan and Flacco are better than Sancez and Stafford, at this point anyway.

I was making the comparison of first year starters this year, but you guys are right to say it was a different draft year.

That said I still think its awesome that Henne could be better than Sanchez in the long run and cost us 1/10th of what sanchez cost the jets!

Look, Henne has far exceeded my expecations so far, I am thrilled, BUT.....

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Chad is gonna have some setbacks, not only this year, but for the next couple of years. I don't want to see you guys setting the bar too high for him and having "Henne sucks" posts all over the board when he has a couple of bad games.

Good point made above, we NEED to get him some weapons, crap I'd be happy with just 1 weapon at this point, but he needs a go-to guy.

Fasano has been a disappointment so far this year, and so have Ginn and Bess.

We need a WR for sure, possibly a TE.

Henne has to work on throwing the ball away instead of taking those sacks, and we need to hit on some quick slants when he is blitzed.

If our receivers on O dont start making some plays in the passing game, things are going to get alot worst for Chad facing 8 man fronts and blitzes, but if we can beat them a few times, defenses will play more honest.

We gotta give him more time too. He can't keep getting hit this much or we will get him hurt.

His numbers would be even better if guys were not dropping so many balls. I think Henne throws a good ball, and I think our o-line has gotten better and will continue to get better to give him more time. Henne has the tools to be a successful QB for this team, but that also depends on the guys around him, hopefully our FO does somethings to help him like a playmaking go-to WR and continue to work on the o-line.

Compare the draft classes. Flacco and Ryan to Henne....

Henne has no linkage to Sanchez and Stafford....

Watching the Saints game last night goes to show how important those #1 WR and a great TE is to a QB. Those Guys just make bree's that much better.

For Henne to keep developing we need a good line, a good running game and a num1 WR and a good TE. We have 2 of 3 of those for him now.

Sanchez has edwards now and edwards has make some great catches for him. Edwards just makes Sanchez better.

Same can be said for stafford. He has calven. We need to get henne some guys that will make henne better.

HAHAHAAHAAHAHAHAHAA

when was Henne scouted as a top 10 pick???? As a Junior?

he was always behind Ryan, Flacco, Brohm, and thats just the qbs...

I love how people revise history.
