With what I saw from Henne today, I can confirm my belief that he should have been the starter from the beginning of the season. Everyone will say the Chad Penn gave us a better chance to win because he is a veteran and protects the ball. Well what did that get us.. 0-3? I know he wasn't to blame in those losses but we still didnt win while he was starting. I realize that we are playing the Bills, but the Bills should have beat the pats. Henne came into the San Diego as the backup and wasnt prepared to play. If Henne had been starting the entire season, he would have much more playing experience and we might have an extra win or two. Everyone knew that even if we got to the playoffs with Penn, we weren't going to contend with anyone. Henne is young, has a great arm, and has the legs to get some positive yards running the ball if the WR's are covered. Penn had none of these attributes. Too bad we had to wait for Penn to get injured to see "the new chad" come in and show off his talent. He looks great so far, and my perspective on this season just got a little brighter!! Let me know what your thoughts, and if you think he can keep it up throughout the rest of the season.

Oh, and how about CAMERON WAKE!! why wasn't he getting more playing time in the first three game? I know its one game, but the Dolphins are starting to look like a legit NFL team! its about time..:hump:

Don't get overexcited. These are the ****ty Bufallo Bills.

Pennington played vs

Falcons
Colts
Chargers

Colts, we should have won. Not Pennington's fault. Ginn dropped winning TD, and dropped another TD. Offense dominated the game. Our D couldn't stop Peyton Manning.

Chargers, he got injured.

Falcons, Jake Long was getting put on his ***. Pennington had no protection that game, but he didn't play bad anyway.

Pennington would have had a better game than Chad is having now if he played this Bills team.

I'd still rather see Henne in there getting playing time. This will help him learn and develop as a solid QB. Pennington had a good run last year but his time has expired.

Henne = the future, Penny = the past

Defense and the running game are winning this game. That isn't to say we shouldn't be happy with the promise Henne is showing, but you're jumping the gun a bit here saying he's better than Penny.

Calm down. it was only against the bills...who are coached by Dick Jauron

i think you are right, yeah

but it doesn't change the fact that you are jumping the gun about this Bills game

haha yea I knew everyone will say it was the bills, but they came in with a better record and did everything but win the game against the patriots. For his first real start of the season, he played very well. Obviously Henne isn't "better" than Penny, since he hasn't had 13 years of experience like pennington. All I'm saying, with our Dolphins franchise rebuilding, he should have been the starter at the begginning of the season. Of course heinsight is 20/20, but we couldn't have had a worse record if he was the starter. I do believe he has the potential to become a "better" QB than Penn ever was, especially for our team.

I'm just content with a Miami win, especially 38-10!!

Starting Henne this year might have gotten us the same record so far, but Henne would be a lot further along right now working with the starters. I am just very glad we are not waiting until after this year, or until we were 0-6 to get on with it.

i liked what i saw from Henne today. He made alot of good decisions and didnt make any bad throws. He looked pretty comfortable in the pocket. I was surprised to see us come out throwing the first 3 plays of the game. Next week is a real challenge against the Jets D. Lets see how he does next week against a legit defense (bills secondary injured).

Henne impressed me today tho. Wake applied pressure all game and Vontae came up with the pick 6. Will Allen had 2 picks. Sean Smith and Davis got beat a few times on a few long plays and Gibril Wilson only missed one tackle that i can remember...overall the secondary played better than previous weeks.

Im excited to see how Henne improves week to week because to be honest even tho today he didnt put up big numbers he looked like he knew what he was doing and he looked calm. He got sacked a bunch of times but at least he didnt turn the ball over.

A little more timing with the recievers is needed though....those deep balls were overthrown by about 1 good step.

Yeah, lets enjoy this win no coulda, shoulda, woulda stuff. Henne wasnt the starter and now he is. Lets just see how his does and be patient with him. He is going to have some growing pains.

Wow I can't believe you guys some times. Pennington didn't play defense for us vs the Colts

Pennington is done, and thank God! I liked Penny for us last year, he was great! However, the best we could have shot for with him is mediocre at best...F-that! Henne basically did the same thing as Penny normally does, but the threat of the big hit was always there which opened up the run game.

Who knows what would've happened if Henne had started the first three games? I'm just happy that he played smart, efficient football TODAY.
