Henne struggles in Tuesday practice

Nolan probably mixed in some zone defenses, and as usual Henne is total crap against such coverages.

He can only look decent playing against a man-to-man defense. Which is the defense miami was in when he looked decent for those 3 days (including the scrimmage when the D was in M2M)

What don't you understand? Unless you support him no matter what you are a terrible fan!
Outside of the obvious sarcasm this is actually a true statement. You should support Henne every moment, but it doesn't mean you have to believe in him

People get to wrapped up in the highs and lows!

Everyone saying that one day doesnt say much remember that henne at this point needs to prove that he can be consistent and a day like this does nothing for confidence. Remember that henne's main issue is inconsistency. Save me the excitement with a great day or 2 if your gonna come back the next day and stink it up..that doesnt get us over the hump and surely wont win a super bowl. the lights are still off in henne's head tbh. how long more do we have to see this inconsistency? This is practice...

That's true. It all depends on your perspective though.

If that scrimmage ACTUALLY moved the needle for you on Chad Henne, then today does mean something. But I personally never felt like his having a good scrimmage moved the needle.

Why because he brings up a very good point? Reports from the scrimmage are the defense was in man. Well we all know he struggles with umbrella and zones. It is only fair to think they switched it up.

But hey if you feel that way ADIOS

I am a terrible fan because I am being realistic, and pointing out that he had a bad practice...:lol:

YEAH man you are the worst! I mean he could have had the wrong cleats on! Everytime he threw a pass someone could have opened a door in the practice bubble creating a cyclone effect! Brandon Marshall could be dropping them on purpose to bring Thigpen back! There is so many possibilities and excuses!

I wonder how many balls Brady misses in practice...

...right... no-one cares.

I can promise you if Henne wins 3 Superbowls, Multiple Superbowl MVP trophies, and a few League MVPs no one will look to analyze every pass!

any dc who gives henne man to man looks all over the field deserves to lose...he hasn't shown anyone he can make plays vs zone and umbrella coverages...or in the tight red zone where the field condenses on him...til then expect to see a TON of it...when the games matter

belichick i can tell ya if he finds a weakness expect the entire rest of the league to copy it...til henne fixes it

i could care less what henne's doin against man to man coverages...i know he can make plays against them if given the time...its the other stuff he's got to show me

Odd enough Rex seems to stick with man.

I wouldn't be surprised if the "rulebook" on what Henne is and isn't good at will change a little with the new offensive coordinator.

Henne was good at beating blitzes in 2009 and 2010. Part of that was because Henning gave him the tools to block those blitzes and get the extra time he needed to hit soft coverage. If Daboll is moving the offense to be more aggressive, fewer blockers, more routes, you may find that things completely flip on Henne...he's now terrible when blitzed and better when facing coverage.

Just a thought.

You do realize you just compared Henne to Tom Brady??

I did no such thing.. I am simply making a reference that to practices. Brady is simply used to point out how ridiculous it is to overstate practice.

I'll start caring when the bullets fly for real in the regular season.
