Henne ... the next Micheal Vick ?

Joking , but I must give credit where credit is do.

In the past he always seemed content to take a sack or quickly throw it away.

In seemed like this game he was actually trying to make a play HIMSELF.

He actual ran the ball well the times he had to and even dove to make a first down.

Seemed like a REAL QB back there instead of a robot just following the scripted play.

I remember when Pennington got here a few years back. Even not knowing the playbook or have played with the team he IMMEDIATLY took over and moved out of the pocket scambling trying to make a play when needed.

Did not see this out of Henne last year.

i think that is the most positive thing iv seen from henne this preseason. i have always thought he would come around throwing the football to these wrs he has played with for some time, and he has. but what we saw last night just might help him become more than just an average starter. it may help this offense stay on the field, keep defenses guessing, and help win ball games......good post..... GO PHISH!!!!!!

Yea, I liked his pocket awareness...who told the guy he could run?! He looked good running.

Question is, did someone tell him not to run last year?? I have never seen a QB just curl up on the ground or take as many sacks as this guy did last year - he made no effort to juke lineman or get out of danger...he just folded. Was he "coached" on how to run? His QB play last year really boggled my mind...it was actually John Beck-ish in some ways.....i.e he played scared.

Love seein some Henne supporters for once. I've given up on him but i would like to see him succeed. He looked great, hopefully he can be consistent with it this year.

I never realized Henne could run like that...he has some good legs for a QB honestly.

I like that he's getting some love from fans. Funny thing is that with all the polls last week, he even got some love before performing well in pre 2, or at least not full negativity. I've allways had hope in Henne, though I was no fan of him. I think that him being the QB of the dolphins had to do with me still having hope on him, maybe if he was elsewhere i'd see it different. However, if he keeps playing like this and proving the team he'll do whatever it takes to get those 1st downs, getting the teams confidence, i will turn fully into a Henne fan.

I was almost shocked when he was making so many plays with his legs. That and he appeared to be scanning the field for his open receivers

He almost never ran in college, and actually had a negative ypc avg if im not mistaken. Pure pocket passer. I think this was a rare thing and not something to be expected from him. He is playing well though. Dan Hennings held him back. Hopefully we finally see what he really has and whether we need to be in the Qb market or not come 2012.
