I remember awhile back someone posted a video on youtube of every pass of Henne's during the Arizona game last year. I cant seem to find that video anymore and was curious to see it again. Does anyone happen to have it still?

And is anyone able to do anything similar for tomorrow nights game for those not able to catch it? (not just Henne in particular, but any video)

Dolphin football tomorrow!

Yeah I would like to see that also. I never got to see the Henne part of that game.

Go look in the depths guys.....

It's in the John Beck memorial thread.......page 11...post 11...

X-Pac posted highlights of both John Beck....and Chad Henne's drive versus Arizona....

Check it out.....draw your own conclusions....

Thanks guys for posting this link. I had never got a chance to watch that. Wow, Henne did look good (except for missing Ronnie in the endzone). What was really impressive was how well he understood the pressure and when to get rid of it. Some of his most impressive plays were the incomplete plays where he didn't take the sack.

I can see why so many people on here was wanting him to start after that. Glad he didn't but I can see the excitement. Can't wait for tomorrow to see what he can do this year.

Thanks again for the link

The story goes that when he went to the sideline after the score T.S. gave him an earful for the bad end zone throw(s).

The one thing I have been reading negative wise about C.H. is his red zone work in training camp. This video kind of shows the same thing. He was great in the drive but stalled at the end. Threw behind Ronnie and over threw Wilford.

I think the extra preseason work this year is gonna take care of that and he will be just fine for after 09'

^ Thanks guys and i agree about the endzone work, all in due time. Cant wait for tomorrows game :D

I don't know EXACTLY how much you can take away from this video, but since it's Henne's only NFL action I'd like to do a little analysis.
First of all, without getting too in depth, the first thing that you notice from Henne is his arm strength. The guy has a slingshot release and the ball has such great velocity out of his hands. I'm not making any comparison here obviously, but when Henne throws the ball he looks like Peyton Manning.
Now let's go throw by throw.

Throw #1: Nice read, check down to the open tight end, Martin drops the ball underneath.
#2: Wow. Beautiful zip pass on a skinny post to Derek Hagan in between 3 defenders. Awesome pass, there appeared to be smoke coming off the back of that ball. (Btw Hagan is tearing it up in Giants training camp haha)
#3: Good completion on a curl to Bess. Once again, the ball had great zip on it and that was necessary because defenders were nearby. A man with a lesser arm doesn't complete that pass.
#4: Complete out to the right flat to Ricky Wiliams for no gain. Henne had more time that he thought on this play and he should have stepped up in the pocket to look for an open receiver. Ricky was hit as soon as he made the grab. Regardless, it's a completion.
#5: Henne shows great pocket presence as he stands tall with poise while he let the play develop. He hit Hagan on the right sideline with a beautiful pass on a comeback route. 1st down, very nice. Again, there was tight coverage and a nice throw was made.
#6: Had all day to throw and checked it down to Ronnie over the middle for a gain of a few.
#7: Little underneath screen type play to Ginn who scrambles up the field for about 9 yards.
(offsides, Henne gets destroyed and stands right back up. Good to see)
#8: Fake end around and Henne had to get rid of the ball too early with pressure in his face. Incomplete to Bess in the left flat.
#9: Great toss on 4th and 5 on a laser deep out pass to Camarillo. Pass is good for about 15 yards, impressive zip.

Eh, I missed a throw somewhere and I don't feel like doing this anymore. But after this, Henne should have had his first NFL TD pass but Ronnie dropped an easy TD pass in the end zone. Personally, I'm very impressed and hopeful going forward.

Interesting huh? How a live arm does not translate into such an 'incredible' advantage when the field is short. Looks like there is more to this QB-ing thing after all...

Also not comparing him to Manning, but Henne has a lot more zip than Manning. If he can stick, he'll have one of the better arms in the NFL. Flacco is supposed to have a bigger arm than Henne, but Henne's passes seem to get there quicker than Flacco's.
