Is it just me or is this game on Sunday going to be the most anticipated hyped game since Marino left? This is the first time for me in a long time where we have a shot at having a high draft pick with a serious chance to handle the franchise for years to come. I know we have had 13 starters since Marino but nobody to me has seemed like they can be a franchise QB, they always have seemed like quick fixes and holdover QB's. I am really excited to see what he can do now that it's his team. The numbers above don't lie. You can make your own judgments but he has had a lot more experience than anyone else on that list and has had time to learn from a great leader (Pennington). I think that all the haters need to step back for a minute and give this kid a legitimate shot and don't shut him out because he throws an int. If he was drafted to the Ravens and started last year who knows he could have been just as good as Flacco. We haven't had a chance to see him with the starters for the whole game and after game planning with them for the whole week. Let's be on his side and lets get hyped because we really could have found the answer with out even knowing what we have had for a year!!! Lets Go Fins!

Comparing him to these guys is crazy from a Dolphins fans perspective, you are just setting yourself up for disappointment. I'm going to leave Sanchez out of this because we haven't seen enough of him either way. We have seen enough of Ryan and Flacco though and these guys are GREAT Qbs. Henne may one day become a great QB but as of right now he is a backup about to make his first career start.

I'm excited but realistic. Henne will have his ups and downs. With that being said I've seen to many post Marino QB's stink so it's going to take a lot for Henne to make a believer out of me.

TRUE

FALSE. Beck was drafted higher than Henne.

You're right but I was never sold on Beck, and he just didn't have the size and skill set that Henne looks like he has. Honestly when John Beck was drafted I thought of him as always been a backup. When Henne was drafted I thought of him as having the reins one day and being the franchise QB. Henne played in a better conference then Beck. Beck played for BYU and Henne played for a big market team with big competition at Michigan. I don't know I just never got that feeling out of Beck.

I see, I think anytime I have seen a new QB fill in, I have prayed that they were a keeper. No luck yet, maybe Henne will change that.

Typical Jests fan thing to say....The only reason you see Ryan and Flacco as "GREAT Qbs" is because they had opportunities to start right away. There is no way you can say that they are better because Henne hasn't had the opportunity yet, but thats ok we know how you guys think. The only stats we can compare right now are the college stats because that is when all three were starters. Miami's QB situation was better than Baltimore and Atlantas when all three where drafted thats why Henne sat out for a year, not because Flacco and Ryan where above and beyond better. Get a clue!!!

What...are you saying Cam and company made a bad pick? Next, you will be saying Ginn was a poor pick also. Slanderous!

Seriously, this is the first time I have been optimistic about one of our young QBs since Marino retired. I don't expect too much from Henne given our group of WRs. Hopefully, he won't develop too many bad habits before the front office gets some play makers to support his talent.

How can you honestly compare these guys college careers and how they relate to NFL?

Henne- Michigan. He had Mario Manningham, Steve Breaston to throw too

Ryan- Boston College. Who did he have to throw too?

Flacco- Deleware. Enough said

Sanchez- Southern Cal. One or two year starter correct?

Its college..anybody can dominate..dont matter who catches the ball

Or maybe because as rookies, they took their respective teams to the playoffs. I think Revis makes a good point here. We don't know anything about Henne. Whatever he did in college is irrelevant in the NFL. None of those stats will define his legacy in the NFL

There's a reason our front office passed on guys like Flacco and Ryan. I really believe that they truly think Henne can be every bit as good as Flacco and Ryan if not better. None of us have seen enough of what Henne can do to judge wether or not he's the franchise.

Trust the Tuna.

Actually, I think he's spot on...except for his horrible taste in teams. Henne is an unknown commodity in the NFL, unlike Flacco and Ryan. College stats don't mean anything right now.

How is Flacco "great"? He had the benefit of a very good running game and a DOMINANT, game changing defense that could bail him out of trouble.
I think Henne would have had better stats than Flacco last yr had he been drafted by the Ravens.
In fact, Henne came into the league with many more starts than Ryan and Flacco and was considered more NFL ready to start as a rookie than Flacco was.
Henne didn't start because we had an established veteran in front of him. Most coaches would prefer it that way. Ryan and Flacco started as rookies last yr out of necessity because their respective teams had no other VIABLE alternatives. Ditto for Sanchez.
