As surprising as this may be to some of you, the Saints are among the best teams in the NFL in run D (7th). They are the best team we are facing vs the Run thus far. The next best team we have played is the Colts who are 14th.

Although we have been AMAZING at running the rock, you have to expect the Saints to do a decent job against the run. Well that's going to put some pressure on Henne to win the game with his arm. The Saints are 11th vs the pass, but the play of Sharper has me worried to death. This guy has been playing LIGHTS OUT this year and has given young QBs a very difficult time with his ability to read their eyes. I think as long as we don't give up points to their D we can stay in this game.

Personally I think this game is a LEGITIMATE barometer for Henne. If he does well vs the Saints I think we have a chance to pretty much beat any team on our schedule after that, because no other team on our schedule has a defense as balanced (except Pitts). We truly could go 9-3 after that. (Lose to Pats once, Jets, and Steelers). If he doesn't do well then the sky is falling and we need a new QB. LOL... just kidding...but it will show us that he isn't as far along as we hoped and needs more time to grow. Therefore we will need to run the ball VERY WELL for the rest of the year to stay competitive.

P.S. Ur damn secondary needs to get their **** together! They are losing games for us all day...SO FRUSTRATING!~!~!~!~!~!

they have to show they can stop the wildcat first. they are 7th in stopping the conventional run game...

The one guy I'm afraid of is D. Sharper !! This guy is an interception machine !!

Good point...but hey are the best run D we face pretty much all year minus TENN and PITTS, but TENN is horrid vs the pass. And I said before Pitts is a good D, BUT they just lost their best DE who Pitts feels is just as important as Polumalu to their D and they are 1-4 in games he didnt play.

Their run D might not be ranked so highly after playing the Giants this weekend.

Well he was asked to win the JETS game wasn't he. If he can play at that same level the entire game against the Saints then I predict a winner!!!

They've played Detroit, Philadelphia, Buffalo and the Jets. Of those, only the Jets are a good running team, and they averaged 4.9 a carry. Even Buffalo averaged 4.2 a carry.

I agree with what someone else said -- that ranking will go down after the Giants game. And they're not going to be able to stop us, either.

Henne won't have to win the game. Our running game will be just fine. Wilson and Bell are the ones that will determine the outcome.

The other explanation for the ranking is how quickly most of those teams they faced were behind...and by a lot. It probably forced them to almost completely abandon the running game.

I'm not saying they're pansies but I don't think they're a reason to be feared.

I agree with You all the way.. I just dont hope we get down too fast tho..
But we will cont' to run the football unless turn overs happen..

I feel that if we make them one dimensonal we win...
They have been good at running the ball too..but have faced lacking D's

I feel like there is an excuse for almost every game we lost...

First game...Stupid turnovers and noise..Wont happen again

Colts- Peyton Manning, He just out classed us, Plus poor tackling.

Chargers- We lost Penny and Henny was not ready..

don't forget.... the Saints are coming to our house.
I was at the Monday night game and I must tip my hat to all the fans.
That place was rocking! Hopefully you guys can duplicate that.

they won't stop our run, and if they give us a hard time we're not gonna give up on the run, they'll keep poundin it, just keep brees of the field, we'll see what happens

And some "experts", and one of the announcers of the JETS game said that REVIS was the best CB in football, and reminded him of DEION SANDERS...but HENNE torched him.

I think the WC will survive and prosper against NO, if nothing more than to keep their D honest enabling Henne to load up the canon. My fear though is that every time we churn out a score, Brees comes back quickly in Peyton fashion to surgically carve up our D

Henne won't have to win but he does have to convert crucial 3rd downs and throw atleast 1-2 40+ yd passes to open things up, which I believe he will do. Like I said last week, make sharper keep up with Ginn even if he has a 15 yd head start. Don't put the ball in places where a guy like Sharper can make a play.

We are at home and have an excited team and fan base behind us so we will be fired up to prove our selves yet again.

On another though, yes maybe this is the game where Henne shows us that he's human and makes mistakes. Does it mean he's not the future? No. Will it make finheaven go crazy and call for Pat White or Thigpen? Yes. Or maybe we have a guy that we haven't seen in quite some years and is actually going to have a great stretch of games or possibly a season or career!? Cheers to the latter.
