I just had to come on here and say I was amazed how poised Henne was during the fourth quarter. I've read about how he's a clutch quarterback, and does very well under pressure situations, and he showed that many times over last night. You could see the look of determination in his eyes every time the Jets scored. He continued to rally the offense, answering after every Jets TD. When was the last time we were able to respond time after time like that? Usually if the other team put up a TD on us we'd be in a deep hole. To top it off, Henne put up a 130 qb rating against one of the supposed top ranked passing defenses. I know it's still early to tell how Henne will play out, but I'm really excited about our qb for the 1st time in a long time!

I love how the media is swingin from the guy who completes 50% of his passes and loses the game....

I know beyond the fact that Henne looks super promising, it really was enjoyable to sit there and watch Sanchez struggle after all the hooplah about him. I also love during the last drive I think it was, Gruden claiming this was the most fun he had ever had in his life watching the game. Go Henne!

That's the best QB performance I've seen by any Dolphin since Marino and one of the better performances I've seen by any NFL QB this season. It's only one game, but he showed what he's capable of. I think that for the most part we have the OL in place, but we need to give him more weapons (namely a big time TE).

As for our receivers:

Ginn caught a 4 yard pass against Revis that ended up being a critical 3rd down conversion. To top it off, he burned Revis for a 50+ yard TD.

Hartline was able to get a 9 yard catch off Revis.

Revis is perhaps the best CB in the NFL, I wasn't sure we'd get a single completion off him, especially with that pass rush.

I don't think we have the worst WR core in the NFL (like some), I think we're average there. We have a whole bunch of 2's and 3's, but they're quality 2's and 3's. We really need a TE that can change the game, someone like Jermaine Gresham can stretch the field and help the running game, in addition to being a nice checkdown option.

The guy was sick last night, he showed a hell of a lot of poise. He just made all the right throws when they needed him to. A big part of that was his protection all night. They hardly hurried the guy at all, let alone sack him, the line did awesome. He showed something that I thought was great about Pennington, he maintained drives on some key drives. The offense as a whole did awesome; Henne, the wildcat with Ricky and Ronnie taking the snap and even Pat White takin the snap, it just kept those chains moving. And that bomb from Henne to Ginn... wow, hopefully that's something we can count on and come back to.

I don't wanna turn this into a Pennington-Henne thread, but as adamant as I was about starting Pennington, I'm just going to say if he continues to play like he did last night, then I was absolutely wrong.

Pennington did his job last year. He served as a great mentor to Henne. Last nights play would not have come if rushed along. With a year under his belt Henne was ready to go. Sad part is Henne should have been the back up in the Atlanta game and after a quick 3 and out to start the second half Henne's time should have started then.

Great game and just what we knew all along you have to get the ball deep to Ginn and Pennington did not have the arm strength to do it.

Great job Chad Henne.
