just to say a couple things on his drive....

1) it was very nice to see an arm getting the ball to its spots

2) it seemed like he had that offense together and clicking, line looked solid blocking, running game got going, WR's were getting SEPERATION at times, and catching the ball.... so i might say, good huddle pressence or leadership

3) besides staring down WR at times, he went through progressions well and kept it simple

4) he lead the team down the field for a TD... no complaints (yes late game though too in a blow-out)

your thoughts

IMHO, he should be the starter with Penny backing him. It will take a bold coach to make this move...there is nothing to lose, weve already admitted we are rebuilding, why play a veteran QB? for what? 3-4 wins max? Its better, in a rebuild, to play the young QB and let him develop on the job...

Why not? The HC is!

Henne looked confident and poised... if he can handle some ups and downs, and get a lot of possitive exposure with some consistant drives, i think its a plus seeing him start.... after bye week? he's gotta get in and learn sometime if he is our future

He looked fast in getting the ball out. He finally took some 20-30 yard shots. This maybe the silver lining but we are so bad that maybe henne gets some reps without the game being on the line and to much pressure.

We'll Sparano already said Penny is the starter next week. If Hennne was starting, I would be so excited, but with Penny, meh.

Maybe he'll give Henne some time in the 2nd half

He was very quick to make his decisions and threw bullets to the WR's, now it helped that Arizona was in a little bit of prevent but he took what they gave him. How come all of a sudden our WR's could catch, I believe it was because the ball came to them quicker and therefore it's earier to get open for that split second. Henne would help the run alittle more if there's a threat of a deep ball.
What do we have to lose? I say nothing, if anything we'll know that he's our man or not. Yes he'll throw a bunch of interceptions but this year is about figuring out what needs to be done next offseason and draft. I'm bold enough to say by starting Henne our WR play will improve a great deal and Ricky and Ronnie will get more of a shot in the run game. Tony please prove me right and start the rookie.
