I know everyone here on Finheaven has seen a different and more confident Henne than we have ever seen before. And we've seen a lot of nice plays that make you think we could actually have something. But in the end, it doesn't really matter.

Henne has been terrible in the red zone again this year, meaning for all the yards we have gained and nice plays we have made, we aren't scoring half the points that we should. These red zone trips aren't an accident either; Henne seems to be going to Marshall every play because that's all he knows how to do, and while that's not a bad idea in theory, Henne simply can't make the type of throws that he needs to in order to score down there. He only throws straight-line passes and can't float a pass in where only his receiver just narrowly breaking open can get to. This was an easy problem to see today when he missed a pass to (I believe) Hartline where he gunned it instead of floating it, giving him absolutely no chance to make a play.

I don't know what the exact percentages are, but I know that Henne failed in two critical moments in the Patriots game, a game where it was plainly obvious what was needed was a TD to keep pace. And those drives stalled at the one both times. Today, we failed to get a TD three times in the red zone, and we weren't even close to coming up with potential scoring plays on several of those trips. And while Carpenter blew two FG chances, those didn't even matter when it came down to it because we lost by 10. Had we turned just one of these three into a TD, we could talk about Carpenter's missed FG's. As it is, we were only 1 of 4 today, and the one red zone TD we did get was more a nice play by Marshall than a great throw, as he get the 5-7 yards needed to get paydirt.

Henne will NEVER be a winning QB in Miami until he learns to score in the red zone, which I am pretty confident will never happen because that is a skill the great ones have and the decent ones don't. That's all that separates the two, but usually having it is pretty apparent early on (Cam Newton anyone? Heck even Andy Dalton is doing fine). We have a defense that is incapable of generating a game changing play, and that's not going to change until we rebuild our secondary...again. And as it is right now, they are just good enough to stop a team except for a couple big plays a game.

We need a new coach.. Somebody that will actually fix our oline.. This team is becoming a joke.

Yea, that ball Marshall dropped that was placed right on his hands is a great example of Henne "not being able to make the throws"

You sound real silly, Henne isn't perfect but the guy is hardly the issue . . . and as far as this season goes, we have much bigger problems than Chad Henne.

Our o-line was not the problem on any of our red zone trips today. Henne had time to try and make plays, he just didn't make plays. The o-line isn't good, but we need to know when to assign blame to them and when the problems is between the passer and the receivers.

I think henne is decent enough from our goal line to the opponents 20, but once he hits the red zone he butt locks. It is depressing to watch successful drives stall when we get inside the 20.

You sound like a person who is giving Henne too much credit for what he does between the twenties and not caring enough about the actual scoring, which last I checked was the purpose of the offense.

13 points today. That's a clear problem, especially considering that this is the same QB who lead one of the lowest scoring offense's in this franchise's entire history last year.

Yea 2 missed fg's, a dropped pass in the end zone . . . lets call out henne for 13 points. Get a life, he has played better this season and is making improvements. He is being pressured on every play, stop trying so hard hater.

Well we did leave 10 pts on the field thanks to Marshall dropsies n our pathetic kicker but ya Henne n the redzone offense is pathetic. The play calligraphy still blows. I called that draw when we were down 10 before we ever lined up, only I predicted it on 1st down. We re the worst coached team in the league n it shows. Sparano getting an extension was beyond stupid but its not my money being wasted. Yet another season over before it begins. Sad thing is we should've won that game if we could just do the simplest things.

Im looking at the Patriots and Chargers. Philip Rivers and Tom Brady has all day to throw, on the other hand I'm worried for Chad Henne's life..

That is exactly the point. If people can't see that they obviously never will!!

Great between the 20's. But one of the worst redzone QB'S I have ever seen. Of course people will have that dropped Marshall pass to defend him with. But man oh man, he becomes completely lost on what to do in the redzone. It is quite sad really because the guy is great between the 20's.

Our O-Line sucks, When Henne has time he looks really good out there. When we had a running game going, he looked near unstoppable for a little while there. Give him the rest of the season until you jump ship. We have WAY bigger issues than Henne at this point.

They as a team lost the game --
Henne has been solid the 1st 2 games, no run game vs the pats.
Today 2 missed FG, marshell drop Td, and 4th an 1 should have tossed for bush for the 1st.

We have bigger issues than Henne. He may not be the saving grace for this team, or even a good QB in general, but he's not the biggest issue this year. I always compare Dirty Sanchez to Henne. Sanchez blows. That being said, he wins and scores when it matters most. Henne is always that little iddy biddy tiny bit off with his communication with his receivers, and with his accuracy. That little tiny bit off is the difference between points in the redzone and going allllll the way down field for nothing. It's something he has to fix, but there is a lot of other stuff that's much bigger. The team's mentality is something that we have to fix ASAP, and that comes from coaching.

The entire offense needs to do better, but Henne missed too many throws near the endzone.
