Henning On Ricky and Hartline

Henning really pissess me off sometimes. The statement about at that time it was the best way to get us in the end-zone is complete Bull****. We were dominate along the line and ripping off chunks of yardage. Then he contradicts himself by saying inside the 10 we are the best in the NFL. from my recollection I dont remember too many ricky passes inside the 10. He got cute it backfired. Admit your mistake and move on.

I almost feel he is stubborn enough to try it again...which scares me

We are the best inside the ten except when he brain farts a call.

I'd rather him not admit his mistake and pack his bags and move on screaming it was the best call I could have made. Let's not try to forgive and forget, kick his butt back into the retirement home of hasbeens.

This I agree with

Basically, right now I do not want to hear **** coming from Henning. Anything he says is garbage.

We NEED to see more of hartline. IMO he is the ONLY wide-out we have that has some upside. If played right, Hartline could be a very solid number 3 (year in and out) all day long. I have said he reminds me of ricky proehl. He runs solid routes and can catch. That adjustment he made on the bills defender to catch a ball that was purposely thrown behind the defender was very good and shows promise IMO.

The only problem with this rationale is that we have 3 guys that can be solid number 3's in Camarillo, Bess and Hartline....

I like that he does not apologize..it was a stupid play call..after the fact.. but Ricky did not have to throw it.. and had the o line blocked he would have had more time..

Could we have jammed it in from the 3 yrd line first and goa?..

I think so...but we will never know...

What if they stopped us 3 straight plays.. then all of us would be saying we should have done this and done that..

I think Hennings play calling has been very good at times..

but you cant get every play right..

I think he would like to have that one back tho

If he would like to have that one back then he should just admit he screwed up.

Ridiculous excuses, you can not excuse a play call that had no benefit to being called and that's even if it works. It's not a bad call it's a pathetic call most pop-warner coaches would know better.

He could have used Buffalo's agressiveness against them by playactioning RW, booting backside and dumping it off to a would be wide open TE. He could have run the wildcat power off tackle run that has been so effective all year in goalline situations. He could have given it to Polite up the gut with the fake quick pitch to Ricky outside. There are alot of other plays that make sense and follow the flow of our offense in that drive.

A TB pass is designed for a big big result, catching a team off guard and best used at midfield. Nothing warrented this pathetic play call that could be argued cost us the ball game allowing a weaker opponent to hang around and gather momentum early in the game. It's like calling a fake punt on your opponents 40 and you have 15 yards to get.

You force them to actually stop you, you do not make it easy on a team that had not shown the ability to stop you yet. This is the exact opposite of puting your foot on someones throat.

Playcalling is not about pulling plays out of the air, all your film work allows you to gather a playlist that should be most effective for that opponent. Once the game starts you can adjust that game plan depending on what has worked and what you thought would but hasn't. There is a flow to play calling, it's a chess game where you set plays up in situations to capitalize later on that when that situation comes up again you hit them with something they would not expect but still has a high rate of success.

Henning has constantly abrupted the flow of our offense with bad play calls ie bringing in P.White when we're moving the ball. These plays are good calls to jump start an offense that's not working, let's say we had two tree and outs, then changing things up makes sense. Henning has shown to not have a grasp on this and we have suffered offensively because of him not the lack of talent.

Henning should never talk 2 the media, he should just leave nobody wants him and his stupid playcalling here. Ronnie isint Ricky and Ricky isint Ronnie. However, Im still waiting for his call to make Henne run a option play thinking Henne is White. He is a old senile man that does not remember what happened five minutes before.

i am with all of you guys.i didnt even read the article .because i dont care what that guy has to say anymore.
