I'm not talking about RB's or OL here. Just Henne vs Henning. I think most people here place 80% of the blame on Henning and about 20% of the blame on Henne. I really think that it's closer to thee other way around. I believe that a lot of the crappy play calls were called due to the lack of overall trust in Henne. I believe we played it safe all the time because they didn't think Henne was capable of running an offense that had a lot of different types of plays. I do think Henne will have a better year this year because Henning is gone but I think it will be that 20% upgrade and not the 80% upgrade. PLEASE let me eat massive crow about this half way through the year. I doubt it though. What % do you guys think it was between the two

Is calling play-action on a clear pass down when your QB is terrible at it "playing it safe"? Sorry dude, Henning called the game like he had some other QB in there... maybe some other team altogether.

I am still on the 80/20 Henning/Henne split. Henne was coached "scared". I really think this year Henne will take the training wheels off and perform. Hell, he has too and he will play like every game could be his last as a starter, because well, it could be.

In Henne I Trust. (Homer? Maybe. Fan? For life!)

Actually I think form what I have been reading that people have forgot about Henning and are focusing their anger at Henne.

Remember, Brandon Marshall said last year that opposing CB's where telling him what play he was about to run.

When your Offense is that predictable you are going to have a hard time succeeding unles your are a HOF QB like Marino.

That why I am willing to stay off the "Henne Sucks" band waggon until this season plays out

What I'm saying is that I believe that Henning was very limited on the plays that he could call due to the FO not trusting Henne enough to call them. By no means saying Henning was very good at all but I think Henne should take 50% of the blame at minimum.

so the fact that the running backs, wide receivers, tight ends, offensive line and other coaches on offense all had a terrible 2010 should not be counted against their coordinator? you're putting 80% on one player?

When week after week your opponents are laughing their azzes off about being able to predict almost every play call - that's gotta tell you it's mostly on "The Fossil" :idk:

There are COUNTLESS examples of Henning blowing it because of Henning, no one else. Two quick ones off the top of my head: Dolphins vs. Ravens. First possession. Ronnie runs it right down their throats. Dolphins manhandle the Ravens defense with the run. Dolphins score. Henning immediate gives up on Ronnie.

Example Two: Thigpin game. Enough said.

even with marino, his couple years with kippy brown was the same thing. the other teams knew what plays the Offense was running.

I really can't put a percentage on the situation, but I strongly believe Henning really handcuffed Henne's potential the last 2 years. I think he was conservative, and also had little trust in Henne. Hopefully with a our new OC, we can finally see what Henne and this offense is capable of achieving.

Bro, I think you just like to bash Henne and this is a weak disguise for doing that again? What was Penningtons record his last 4 starts, against teams with with good records, when the Wildcat wasn't successful, ect.? I don't want to even talk about Thigs game. I am not saying Henne is all of that and a bag of chips. What I am saying is no Dolphin QB has been successful under Henning. Some think that Pennington was because of our record and us winning the East, they aren't looking very hard. 21 points a game, 19 TD's, and almost no chance of picking up a 3rd and 7 or longer, against the easiest schedule in recent memory, is not my definition of a successful offense.
