The real scandal is he's being paid much of anything at all. Linebackers are the running backs of the defense. They are the least important and most readily replaceable position on defense unless they are edge rushers like Khalil Mack, Von Miller, TJ Watt, etc. A lot of teams won't even draft them with a first Rd pick anymore.
You need good, fundamentally sound, assignment driven players to be in the correct places and make tackles. You don't need Ray Lewis or Zach Thomas anymore. DeVondre Campbell and Alex Johnson are 2 of the highest graded LBs in the league, heard of them? Guys like Denzel Perryman and Jordan Hicks and Christian Kirksey, journeymen, are also very highly graded. They are making peanuts.
Good teams don't pay linebackers much. They sure to hell don't pay someone like Jerome Baker what Lavonte David makes.

You do realize that defenses are double covering Waddle, a rookie WR because he is the only WR on the team worth anything. Chase and Smith are excellent WR’s but I am happy that the Dolphins drafted Waddle.
