perhaps the Herald was referring to another logo that is out there for public viewing (kinda leaked then) which also does not have a helmet but looks so much more aggressive and impressive...helmet.jpg

I can only think that they moved the reveal date to draft day in order to bury the negative feedback...

I am cool with the logo. However, I am NOT cool with the way they handled this whole thing... They really botched almost every aspect of this reveal.

All the "wusses", "gay" comments are just attacks by people who don't initially like it trying to make a dramatic reaction. They come across more like "look at me" then having a real opinion of the logo.

I think some people will continue to hate this new logo, and to be honest, I feel their pain. I really don't like the 1997 redesign of our logo, but it also wasn't a change that caused me to flip out into an apopleptic fit of rage or something.

I suppose that having been involved with my own firm's rebranding and new logo a few years ago, I saw firsthand just how difficult it is to come up with a change that you can get consensus on. If they had gone to a throwback '72 style with tweaks, I would have been thrilled, but others would have been pissed. Some would have wanted them to bring back the EXACT same uniforms as before, while others would have been upset that the team decided to 'keep living in the past' or something.

What can ya do?
 
Will the stadium improvements say "Welcome to Sea World" over the entrance?
