Let me say that I understand that we are rebuilding and we have to address the defense especially the secondary and linebacker corp. Nevertheless my motto is the more the media talks about your team the better it is for the team'

the ole saying good publicity goes a long way to repsectability.

I am more about having players getting attention then most of you but I dolike tosee our players get to a pro bowl because it makes me proud to see our guys go there even though the pro bowl may be a joke to many.

winning is paramount but I dont care if we have 3 te and 2 wr sets just
score more then 14 lously points a game . under Jimmy he was way too conservative Dave did a better job coaching in my opinion but his personel moves made me toss my tv set out the window and i hit a dallas fan by accident .

when people talk about the maimi dolphins it has been in a negative light or not at all .

wining the super bowl is our common goal but it never hurts have pro bowl caliber players. plus the more our guys wins a award the better it makes our team look.

we really need to get a Sam Madison type of corner and getting JT back would buy us some time in out rebuilding.

my expectations is to win it all and try and become a dynasty and get s well respected reputation .

in closing, it doesnt matter how many time we throw the ball but we need to have more success doing it . and getting a chad johnson or Anquan Bldin would really help marketing the fins jerseys.

just a opinion of why this is important.

It's easy as a fan to just want the team to sign as many big name players and stars as possible, I don't think you'll find one person who says Anquan Boldin is a bad player.

Thing is, you have to consider the perspective of the organization and the coaches.

If it was YOUR money, and YOUR checkbook, I have a feeling you might be a little more weary bringing in a "star" player because of shallow reasoning as media attention.

Like I said, I don't think there is a single person who doesn't believe that Boldin would add to our team, but you have to be realistic.

If it was your checkbook, I think you'd be a little more quick to realize that to maximize our money, we have to keep working on our foundation before we get the niche positions.

Big time AND big money receivers are nice to have, but they are a luxury. They are the last piece to a championship team, not the cornerstone.

star power...

I like team power. We get that.

Does Porter's 18 sacks not make him a star?
Ronnie Brown's Wildcat would make him flashy or a "star"
Jake Long might be the biggest star of all the LT's
Ricky, now thats a star, it might be dim, but the light still is shining

We dont have stars at feature positions like QB, WR, CB, which can be quite glamorous.

JT does not help our rebuilding. Another new OLB in the draft will help our rebuilding.

Thats tough call Joe Thomas I think had a better rookie year and is a pro bowler 2 years straight.

Joe only had a okay Year (way better rookie season) but I see what you meant but when you choose a LT #1 overall People (at least people that know football) will think off him when they think LT

I do Like Joe I think him and Jake are the Best LTs in the game

Definatley. It all starts in the trenches. Wouldnt be surprised to see the Lions take Crabtree number 1 overall.

Winning solves EVERYTHING. People aren't buying merchandise for lousy teams. Not in Miami at least. The Cubs, Yankees, Steelers, Lakers...those are different stories.

How about we develop and build with what we have, win a lot of games in impressive fashion, and let guys like Ronnie Brown, Jake Long, Kendall Langford, possibly Chad Henne, become star power.

What does star power really net you if it doesn't click?

Cowboys?
Yankees?

These are teams blinded by the flash. Evaluate what a guy brings to the team chemistry that you already have and make a wise BUSINESS decision on how he translates to long-term success for your franchise. Signing guys on name alone usually doesn't end well.

Take a look at what the Cowboys gave up for Roy Williams.

Now go look at what the Patriots gave up for Randy Moss.

There's your difference. Smart B U S I N E S S decisions.

Since we are in year 2 of a 4 year rebuilding process, I would rather see us try to fly under the radar once again than to have big time media exposure like the cowboys etc. With TO in Buffalo the Media will be flocking to the great white north to watch what the clown does for his next stunt......
In a few years once everything is in place then the media will come to us, until then let them watch the circus in Buffalo, NE, and Dallas.

People will respect us when we win the SB. If they don't then it's thier problem. Why is it that people want the news media's respect so much?

this is all the "Star Power" we need:

i could care less if every guy on the team was the worst in the league..... as long as we win.....
