I know it's pointless to cry about the rankings, but all we have right now is play-by-play of practice plays on Twitter, and there's nothing better to do.

24th? Really? I think we're clearly better than the Raiders, Cardinals, Jags, Seahawks, and Titans, and possibly a couple other teams. We have QB problems, but so does half the league.

And the Jets are 7th? Let's compare teams: Dolphins have a potentially great defense with a lot of talent. Jets have a potentially great defense with a lot of talent. Dolphins have skill at the WR and RB positions. Jets have skill at the WR and RB positions. Dolphins have a mediocre-to-bad young QB. Jets have a mediocre-to-bad young QB. But they're 17 spots apart?

Rant over.:3w:

beat me to it! these rankings are garbage, there aren't 23 better teams than the dolphins

With all fairness, the Yets have made it to two straight AFC Championship games, despite having a sub-par QB.

Who cares about these rankings. The only thing that matters are wins and losses. I remember when we were always near the top, especially in pre-season rankings, back in the day. That didn't get us anywhere. Let's let people thing they will destroy us.

I could care less about the preseason rankings but that comment by John Clayton further confirms why some people at times calls him an idiot.
If the Dolphins can't get Brett Favre to challenge Chad Henne, maybe they can ask Dan Marino. (Clayton)

ESPN's pre-season rankings from last year had Colts, Saints, Vikings, Cowboys, Ravens as their top 5. Fail.

For a network that features Greenberg, Clayton (the cryptkeeper) and the biggest electronic troll, Skip Brainless, (not to mention a bunch of former shell-shocked jocks who never met a verb they could conjugate correctly), their evaluations should taken as seriously as a Stevie Wonder ranking of America's Most Scenic Highways. :idk:

These rankings are a joke.... SD #10? They've done nothing. Saints #4 based on?!?!? Losing to a 7-9 playoff team I'm guessing. TB must be really good...who have they added this offseason? Epic Fail

LMAO! It is hilarious that they have Seattle ranked ahead of the Dolphins. Seattle might have the #1 overall pick in 2012...

Meh, I'd rather the Dolphins fly under the radar for now. They'll be plenty of time for accolades after we beat NE on national TV.

Truthfully, on paper mind you, I only see 4 teams in front of us that we should be ranked higher than. Arizona, Kolb is still woefully unproven and their receiving corp is made up of Fitz and....Fitz, Lions although they finished strong last year Stafford has only played in 13 games...he's till a rookie and very injury prone, Seahawks are one of the teams with a worse QB situation than we have, only thing saving them is that weak division but they're not better than us and the Titans who have a new coach, a very old QB who won't be playing in the WCO for the first time in his career and a RB that is holding out.

So without playing a game yet I would say we should be 20th...but I don't really care because ranking NFL teams is about as stupid as Dukes on NFLN.

Wow, just looked again and the don't have Carolina as last. Somehow Cam Newton, a rookie QB, makes that awful team better than two other teams. Wonder if the Broncos would be in the top 15 if Tebow were starting. Love that hype machine.
