Here we go again: ESPN power rankings hate us

remember, this is not a ranking of the best teams it is more about who has the better players and the most fire power. but i think we are about where we should be. if henne plays like he did last year or worse. we will be lucky to be here. but on the other hand if he puts it all together this team can play in january i think.GO PHISH!!!
 
Not understanding why anyone is mad about this. We have a QB that has problems completing passes to wide open receivers. I repeat, we have a QB that struggles with easy throws. What team in the AFC is a playoff team without a playoff-caliber QB? Be careful before answering.

I know it's pointless to cry about the rankings, but all we have right now is play-by-play of practice plays on Twitter, and there's nothing better to do.

24th? Really? I think we're clearly better than the Raiders, Cardinals, Jags, Seahawks, and Titans, and possibly a couple other teams. We have QB problems, but so does half the league.

And the Jets are 7th? Let's compare teams: Dolphins have a potentially great defense with a lot of talent. Jets have a potentially great defense with a lot of talent. Dolphins have skill at the WR and RB positions. Jets have skill at the WR and RB positions. Dolphins have a mediocre-to-bad young QB. Jets have a mediocre-to-bad young QB. But they're 17 spots apart?

I agree, the jets are ranked a little low. A team that has a young core and has been to back to back title games w/ a young QB should be ranked top 5 at worst.
 
Agree with ranking

Outside observer here, I see you guys right at #24 if not possibly lower as I feel the Bills, SF, Den all could be better.

young core in some parts. Wr is suspect with loss of Edwards. DL also has some question esp on outside and linebackers are good but where will pass rush come from.
I think the jets will still be nunber two above us but there are definately questions.

Young/prime at C, LT, QB, RB, WR, LB, CB, DL. We are doing ok.

We may see a revolving #2 WR the next few years but our #1 is locked up and we have a young guy in Kerley who will be a 3 by next year.

Of course there are questions, nothing is ever certain in this league but on paper we look pretty damn good. That doesn't guarantee us anything but I feel good going into '11.
