Now, we all know we desperately need Linebackers, specifically a middle linebacker. I realize Kiko has had success there before, but I do believe he's best suited playing the WILL spot, competing with Jenkins. With that said, these Myles Jack rumors could have some fire behind that smoke, and he MIGHT just end up falling to 13. IF that happens, we absolutely should take him. I think he'll be a Ray Lewis, Patrick Willis type Mike, which we've been lacking for years. That gives us Alonso (WILL), Jack (MIKE) and Misi (Strong) with Jenkins as a rotational guy for 2016.

Now, many of us don't necessarily like Misi, and Jaylon Smith might just be able to be had in the 2nd round come Friday due to that devastating injury. IF he falls to our pick in the 2nd, we could draft him and sit him for a year until he is ready for 2017 and can take over for Misi on the strong side, which I believe is the position that best suits him in the pros.

I realize this is a farfetched scenario, but maybe not as much as you think. If all goes well, we could have the most dominate pair of LBs within a few years. So good, it may just make us the premier defense, even if we have mediocre at best corner play. On the down side, you ignore the corner and guard positions and take a HUGE risk on two injured stars. I personally would do a back flip if this happened, but I'm curious to see how this forum would stomach doubling down on two injured LBs who may not be able to contribute at all in 2016.

There is no reason for jack to fall.

And smith is a day 3 pick who probably never plays in the NFL.

very high risk, very high reward situation...I'd skip Smith for the 5th rd at the earliest, then we can target our CB, G, and RB possibly...

It's a nice scenario if Jack drops and Smith is a late round pick. That's assuming Smith would return at close to the same level.

I think the linebackers Miami will have a shot at with the #13 pick are Lee, Ragland or Floyd.

I don't agree on the move of Alonso to WLB. Keep him in the middle but consider this scenario...Put Jack at SLB so he can cover TE's and RB's. This also allows you to run a base 4-3 in passing downs where you don't have to sub a DB for Koa Misi.
